  1. I contacted Princess about the first formal night for this cruise and was told it would be July 13th (which to me seems like the 3rd night at sea, but perhaps embarkation night isn't counted as a sea day?).

Embarkation day is counted as San Francisco. Thanks for all the great replies

  2. I'm sure the late departures from ports were the reason, but from a passenger standpoint I would still want my reserved table with my waiters regardless. If the itinerary has that many late port departures then the dining schedule should be adjusted accordingly. Just my two cents. :-)

I would think they don't need all the waiters and servers on these Late port days so some of them get the evening off they deserve a day off every now and then

  3. Sailing July 10, 2015 out of San Francisco on the princes golden anyway to tell which nights will be formal dining. We want to book the crown restaurant but not on formal nights don't want to miss out on lobster.

  4. the nightly shows are scheduled around dinner time.there is two shows early and late.if you eat at 6:00 you can go to the late show..if you eat late you go to the early show.thats why we like early eating times

  5. I have a somewhat similar situation on a B2B and my TA talked to Princess and at this point there not much they can do since the cabin is sold but they told me to go to the passenger serv. desk on my first leg of a B2B and they might upgrade the people in the cabin I want in order to free it up.

I sort of doubt if it will happen but there's always hope especially if the ship isn't sold out.

I believe it's mostly sold out.but I will try it thank you

  6. there is 6 of us on the golden princess cabins D726 D728 and D732.we would like to trade our cabin D726 for D730 .so we are three cabins in a row. We are willing to offer whoever has D730 some money.do you think princess will make an offer for us to whoever has this Cabin? Or if we catch whoever has the cabin before they enter and they agreed to it Will princess let us?

  7. Because of the schedule.

Because of the schedule? My question was why would they move the ship from San Francisco to LA. Why not just schedule a cruise out of San Francisco doesn't take a rocket scientist to know it cost money fuel to get from San Francisco to LA.

  8. Kamloops 50 is not quite correct, as she is still on a cruise today May 01, in Victoria and departing at midnight for Vancouver. The passengers disembark on Saturday morning, and she will sail to the drydock about noon on May 02. She is expected to enter the drydock on the high tide about 6pm.
So where will she be a dry dock.?
