Looking at the flights available on the day we fly there are 3 or 4 choices. BA,American Airlines and Virgin leaving from Heathrow sometime between 10 am and 14 :00. These are the only flights that would get you to Miami and be able to book into your pre night hotel. Bare in mind we have to get from Edin to Heathrow first so the 10:00 am is prob to tight to arrange us on. I'm not sure where deviate comes into it in our situation other than making the choice to fly down the day before as suggested by poster Iprp and stay in a Heathrow airport hotel before maybe catching the 10 :00 flight to Miami. So extra expense to deviate, extra expense for a airport hotel, extra expense to make sure we are next to each other ( business class flights promised on this particular booking!). Our TA hasn't mentioned any of this to us so far🙂. Anyway await to see what we eventually end up with.

Dont think there will be much point in deviating, we are guaranteed a 1 night pre cruise hotel stay, flights from London get you to Miami either in the afternoon or early evening so it has to be one of them. If we were to fly from Scotland to Miami via a changeover in Europe somewhere i dont think you would even get to Miami on the day before our cruise. Do you mean expect to here about flights 290 days before our cruise ie March Seems strange as flight reservations are available at this moment.

Flying from Scotland in November to Miami. for cruise on Grandeur TA said almost certainly via London then direct to Miami with prob BA or maybe virgin flights the day before cruise and a overnight hotel stay pre cruise. Anyone any idea when you approx get notified of flight details, reason i ask is the flights from London have been open for reservations a few weeks now and thought for that reason i would have heard something by now.

Wife and I are on this cruise as well 1st time with Regent flying from the UK. We can't reserve any excursions till later this month . What's the situation regarding excursions as the whole point in booking was the added perks such as free excursions etc and also business class return flights which was part of the deal. Do they not have to offer you a free excursion in every port or is it covered in the small print that it's not obligatory and only if available?

Yes but then I assume I can't reserve any excursions till we get on the ship which is not ideal

My wife and i going on our first cruise with Regent on the Grandeur next Nov Flights are arranged from the uk to Miami & return by Regent and we are still waiting on details of who we fly with You are encouraged to fill in the guest registration form as soon as possible This allows you to reserve your excursions for this cruise ( late jan for us) However you can only get as far as 2 options on disembarkation day to be able to complete the form neither of which apply to us Option 1 Non RSSC flight departing disembarkation day Option 2 Staying at a hotel or US address Surely there should be a 3rd option a RSSC flight departing on disembarkation day Which applies to us. As it stands we cant complete the registration form as you must select either option 1 or option 2 Anyone else had this problem ?

Altho we are still waiting for confirmation with whom we are flying with our TA said most prob BA with Virgin as alternative. We have a direct flight from Edin to Heathrow first so I would imagine they would put us on a mid-day/ afternoon flight from London

Hi flossie009 what time was your flight from Heathrow and what time did you get to the hotel at. Also what time is your departure flight from Miami back to uk

To be honest if we hadn't been offered the deal of upgrade to business class flights to Miami we wouldn't be doing the cruise so we wouldn't even want to contemplate the chance of not flying business class, so we may have to pay the extra to guarantee our seats which is obviously extra expense which isn't really made clear by Regent when you book the cruise.

Thanks swansong. So if we don't reserve seats and leave it and BA says there overbooked at last minute and can't accommodate us in business class then that's going against Regents policy of guaranteed business class seats on this cruise and then what would happen ?

On this cruise we have booked it's return business class flights from UK to Miami. They were doing them on selected cruises which is the reason we jumped at it.

Hi swansong i asked on another post regarding the last day when disembarking , i would imagine our flight back to London will be in the evening and then overnight. What have you done that day as obviously we dont want to spend all day at airport so was wondering if Regent lays on a tour of Miami or similar trip before maybe taking you back to the airport sometime in the afternoon.. what have been your previous experiences.

Hi My wife and I will be on a 12 night cruise from Miami on Grandeur next Nov 24. First time with Regent, Flying from the UK is there a requirement to wear a jacket at anytime on the cruise.

Anyone fly in from Heathrow UK to Miami what is your normal arrival time before going to your pre cruise hotel for 1 night and what airline did Regent fly you with.

Perhaps you can be kind enough to come back on after your cruise and let us know if there was an option available to take a short tour round Miami before being taken to the airport. Thanks

Hi ,,my wife and i have booked our 1st cruise with Regent grandeur next nov 2024 from Miami. Dont know the flight arrangements yet but will prob be BA my travel agent has advised. Looking at flights back London post cruise this Nov it seems as if it leaves at approx 17 :00 an overnight flight back to London.. Can anyone advise if the ship organisies any paid tours for a few hours visiting Miami then taking you onto airport with your luggage.. Was on a Silverseas cruise last year and on embarkation day they had a morning tour of Athens arranged for anyone who wanted it before taking them to the airport for a later flight. Has anyone had experience of this or advice,, and if anyone can update this thread over the next 12 months as to any advice as to what they done in the same situation. Thanks for any replies .

Thanks everyone for the positive replies you have swayed us and we have went ahead and booked it at very reasonable price deluxe verandah and business class flights from the UK. Never been to Miami before Only 12 months to wait tho,😀

Wife and I from the UK looking to go on this ship Nov 2024 12 nights Beauty in Bonaire cruise from Miami. This would be the most expensive cruise we have ever booked, it's for my 70th birthday but looking at the many negative reviews on quite a few different sites about Regent it's putting us off now. .

No because he mentioned if you have 2 or 3 glasses of wine and beers after he said it ? He is totally misleading people talking nonsense like this, some cruise lines are stretching up near £$/£100 pp per day!

Also mentioned drinks packages at about £20 a day pp, what ship is this on.??
