Hello,
We lost our original great balcony cabin due to COVID isolation cabins. We now have a Deluxe Balcony guarantee and leave on the Majestic this Saturday, January 15, 2022. We have not received a cabin number yet. Does anyone have experience with when we will get it?
I am one of those OCD types who like to print up my luggage tags amount other things.
thanks for your replies.

That was my experience

Which side and part of Dolphin deck was the quarantine area and was it right at the mid ship elevators? Thanks
According to what I was told, is the entire Dolphin deck is now shut down.
it was originally the port side but it is also the starboardIf I were you, I would avoid picking anything on Dolphin. We had our Dolphin cabins removed from us four times since October. We booked in March 2021 and leave this coming Saturday
we have had D710, our OG cabin. Then we got it back but then had it removed/changed to a caribe deck cabin
It was then changed again to cabin and we got one on the other side D703. We then moved to D701 after that one opened up. Then they moved us again to another deck.
We then got upgraded to a guarantee Deluxe Balcony. Now we are just waiting for a cabin assignment.
just beware that I was told they are using all of the aft and mid-aft Dolphin cabins. There may be morethis is the Majestic just in case you are wondering.

Deck 9......also even though the ship is only 2/3rds full the casino has been really busy every night.....does not look like to me the "No Smoking" policy is doing any damage to the casino....every table and most slots were full at 8:00 PM tonight........
Do you know what part of deck 9? The forward or aft? We are on deck 9 in the aft starboard side
thanks

We will be on board January 15th for a 7 day Mexican Rivera voyage. I am looking forward to your posts and if you could post the patters as well. I am interested in when the show times start. We may need to change our dinner reservations if they will conflict
thanks

Same Ship Different Day is done by Alfie Smith an officer that has worked on several Princess ships. He just got off a P&O ship and is going back to England on the Crown Princess. This is a good look at the current condition of the ship.
I love watching his videos. He recently passed his Captain’s test.

Experienced the same issue on the Majestic in October. If you booked the extended balcony on Dolphin, I think port side, they are now quarantine cabins and you will not get it back.
Yes, I finally got through to someone this morning. We are now on the Dolphin Starboard side

Hello,
I waited for over two hours and had to hang up and go home. They changed my cabin again even after a “no upgrade” marked on it. They were sneaky and changed it from Dolphin to Caribe on the Majestic with the same cabin number and I did not notice it. I am so pissed.
i cannot believe that even if I waited more than, they still would not have picked up the phone.

Thanks so much for the replies. We will need to wait for another cruise farther down the road.

Hello
We will be on the Majestic in January 2022. I have cruise several times but this will be my BF’s first cruise ever. I love the UTS and have done it twice on the older ships.
I am wondering if anyone knows if they are doing them yet. I would really love for him to experience this amazing featureThanks in advance for your replies

They caught my non-surge power strip in Ft Lauderdale in 2018. It was in my carry on case. I had two in there. I gave them the $2 one and they were happy. They said I could collect in the port at the end. I left it. Not worth stopping to collect

So once opened, there is no cap to close it again?
No, they did have the ability to close. They had a twist top like a milk or cream carton. The newer type carton, not like when I was a kid

Alaska Airlines is now handing out water in paper cartons rather than the small plastic bottles.
We stayed in a hotel in Palm Springs last week that had water in paper’ish cartons similar to milk

Both Lyft and Uber have the ability to cost out a route that you want. Have taken a Lyft from San Pedro to Culver City and it was about $36. LAX is closer to San Pedro so it will cost you a little less

Do hope you meant January 2022?
Apologies, yes, January 2022

We just booked a cruise for this January 2021. I was looking for the $199 photo package option, but cannot find it
Is this not longer an option? I am only seeing a $25 credit
In 2018, I had this on three cruises and loved it -

Very interesting! Thank you for posting. Our Golden Princess Alaska voyage in September 2013 marked our return to cruising after a five year hiatus and was my sister and brother-in-law's first cruise. Our favorite daytime hang-out area was Skywalkers. It was even quiet on the day we saw the glacier. We had lots of good times on this trip. I even enjoyed taking pictures to show the strange mirror reflections in our inside stateroom. I always intended to sail Golden Princess again, but we never did.
I sailed on her in September 2013 as well on an Alaska Inside Passage. We had a great time. This was my second Princess cruise and second time in Alaska since my first in 2004. I miss cruising and am sadden by all that is going on in the world right now
we had our meet and mingle in Skywalkers.

My last couple of cruises I have booked directly with Princess.
I had an issue with two different TAs not monitoring the price drops and asked how I knew about it.
Another one wanted to charge me the same price for a window as the balcony.
it depends on the deal.

They also took out the ability to see the other available cabins as well. I wanted to find a balcony cabin and also an inside cabin that is near by for my son and his friends.
it makes it much more difficult to find anything. Sometimes I might want to get the next level balcony but can only see the one cabin type.
so frustrating -
It comes up in your cruise organizer I think as a gift.
I do not believe that you can use it before the cruise. Or at least I could never find a way to use it prioryou could book the excursion and then cancel once on board and then use the OBC
Good luck
i have used the OBC from my princess credit card several times. Never had any issues getting it. Do not wait until the last minute to get it. Leave at least two weeks prior to your cruise

I have been following her blog for a long time now. Her last post seemed like it was their last cruise of the season. She mentioned packing up like the other cruisers cabins. I believe that they may be on their way home.

I am a Caribe Balcony Girl. Those balconies are 9 feet by 9 feet. With a regular table so that you can enjoy breakfast on your balcony rather than a low cocktail side type table. You are get small ottomans to rest your feet or another place for the third and fourth person to sit.
i have enjoyed a fair number of caribe balconies.
The standard balconies are 5 feet by 9 feet. And will feel cramped after enjoying the benefits of a Caribe.

Guarantee cabin assignment

Yes, I did say that we had picked a cabin. We just got our assignment a DB deluxe balcony. I always carefully pick my cabin. I do not like the chance. But since our lovely Dolphin deck balcony was taken away for COVID isolation, and the price going down, we were able to get this deluxe balcony for less than our BD balcony.
We are hoping for negative COVID tests on Thursday so that we can board
