Well, shoot!
Guess I’ll have to leave the extension cord I’d planned to take with me at home in my garage.
Rats.........
They might have relaxed their searches. Maybe someone will post that they got through.
they will give you a claim check to get it when you get off the ship. I did not bother to collect mine
good luck
we will be on the Emerald on the 29th our of LA. Never had a problem here with it

“all of these types of items” ....... what exactly does this mean?
Does this include extension cords?
Does this include PASSIVE 3 way recepticles (cube taps)?
They were taking extension cords as well as power strips. There were several people pulled aside to have their bags searched
one said extension cord and mine was a power strip

I have heard stories of power bars being confiscated by over zealous staff. That’s why we always carry a copy of Princess Policy on power strips. We also show our power bar to our cabin steward so he/she knows it does not have surge protection. We also only leave it plugged in while we are in the cabin. We unplug it and put it away when out of the cabin.
We purchased this product, https://www.amazon.com/Travel-Power-Strip-NTONPOWER-Nightstand/dp/B073ZDH43X/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1542835570&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=cruise+power+strip&psc=1 It is compact, the cord stows in it and it powers all our devices.
Thanks. This is the exact one I bought for this cruise. I told them that it was not a surge suppressor but they did not care. Either way they got the $2 one. Hopefully they stop doing this

The extension cord and smaller adapter are much lighter to pack than a power strip.
Yes, but in July, they were confiscating all of these types of items.
Just make sure that you have a cheapy decoy just in case you are pulled aside.

I had one of mine confiscated while going thru security on embarkation day.
It was a cheap one. I had others so i just gave this cheapy one and went on my merry way.

Any idea how long they leave them up after Christmas? Through New Years? Or (even better...) until Jan. 6?
We were on the Ruby this past January, boarding on January 6 and had no decorations.

If you have more than three hairs on your head, then you need to bring your own dryer.
It is the same as a hotel dryer. Not good

I was on the CB in July 2018. It was the smoothest cruise I have ever been on. I have done Alaska twice and that was very smooth
-
So, which is it?? On an upcoming sailing we are in C748 on the CB.
From the photos I have found on the internet, it looks to be completely covered.
-
This is my balcony of choice. The only balcony that is truly private. I know that you can be seen from above but only if you on standing in the open area. I can also see the balconies above.
But once I have moved to the covered portion, NO ONE can see me.

The MDR is open from noon until 1:30
I always explorer the ship.
There is a scavenger hunt. You get stamps and turn it in. The next day they have a raffle where they pick out one of them and prizes.

I agree with your comments. I was on her in July for a seven day. I was very concerned after reading the comments. I loved the cruise.
I only saw one show, Bravo, and it was all singing. I wished for more dancing
-
I got one on the Ruby in January and on the Caribbean in July this year
-
Yes, I have sailed twice this year, January and July. Both had it on the menu.
-
On Royal Caribbean they put a little leaflet called the Cruise Compass in your room every day to let you know the schedule of all activities throughout the day. Does Princess have something similar? If so, what do they call it?
They have the same thing. It is called the Patter. It has schedule for the day, information from a department or crew member. The activities, bingo, shows, dining room and other food times and locations.

We're on August 4. I'm thinking I'll leave my power strip home. Can anyone who has cruised on CB tell me if the one pool is covered. Thanks, Karen
Pool is not covered. There is shade over the very aft pool via the Skywalkers Lounge above

Wow, thanks for the pictures too. Was the UST worth it? What day was it, a Sea Day?
It was the last day which was also a sea day
It was worth it. I am a cruise nerd so I love going behind the scenes.
Yes, it was totally worth it. The “gifts” were worth it as well
I would say to do it at least once if you can afford $150. You do need to be able to go up and down stairs.

Its become common for NON surge protectors to still get confiscated so i just switched to a small 3 plug extension cord. Its cheap and in no way could be confused with a surge protector.
They were saying that I had an extension cord. That is why I was pulled aside. They were right. I did have three actually. I opened it and the $2 simple non surge power strip was right there. I handed it to the agent and she used my passport number to write on the slip.
I quickly moved on since I had two others in my bag, both non-surge

Thanks for a thorough review.
Can you tell us what some of the buffet changes they made were?
He did not say what the changes were. You might need to find someone who has eaten there prior and then after. I am not a buffet fan

They are working on the Ocean Medallion.
This was installed half way through my cruise. Sadly there are no mailboxes. The installer made quite a bit of noise installing it.
The new larger TVs were great. I loved the on demand programming.
