  1. We also got two great treats today: during our Opera House tour, we got to listen to the symphony orchestra rehearsing "pictures at an Exhibition" for about 15 minutes. Such great acoustics, we could hear the single out of tune flute which caused the conductor to stop, make a comment, and restart! Then, we Ubered out to Costco ... A 60 foot aisle of nothing but well-priced Penfolds reds, and Caymus reds! The whites were plebeian, but we came back with 20 bottle of red that should tide us over for a bit!
  2. Today's sunrise, and sailing under the bridge into Sydney harbor!
  3. I'm a little down-thread on this (still recovering from trying to snorkel the GBR in 2 meter swells!), but there are art classes every sea day both morning and afternoon, and a daily 4 pm sewing/crafting session in the O-Bar, hosted by Ross whenever he's available. Goaliemom has been a regular, and raves about both.
  4. Wonderful ceviche at lunch today, prepared by Michael Sandoval, executive chef at Thomas Keller's Napa based Bouchon. The presentation was delightful, and the avocado cream garnish was a perfect finish. We also were treated to a fun dance performance featuring Ross, guest services manager Kyla, and reps from all the different department! Such joy!
  5. Given all the bio-security warnings on not taking food ashore, it's possible (probable?) That they couldn't secure permission for CITS regardless of the forecast ... I may well make it "Caviar In The O-Bar" day, though ... 🙂
  6. We are in 624 right now on the World Cruise. Close to elevator, only cabins above, mid-ship-ish. Very comfortable and convenient.
  7. Here's the sunset from last night's special event at the Intercontinental Resort
  8. Sunset last night over the harbor. The ship moored next to us is a large private vessel, oddly enough named "Arctic" ... He seems lost! 😎
  9. Goaliemom and I are departing in January on the 2023 world cruise - Miami to Barcelona westbound. It's mostly southern hemisphere, and we're looking for advice from those who've been on that route for things not to miss! We're veteran Seabourn cruisers, so mostly looking for the truly can't-miss port things in the Southern Hemisphere. My lifetime of business travels sadly didn't include French Polynesia, much of South America, or Africa. One definite on our list is an overnight safari in Kenya.
