I sail only HAL now -- I started with Royal Caribbean until a transatlantic from Southampton to Ft Lauderdale one year when we missed an All Ship's Tour beause "they couldn't find us"!  We had upgraded our cabin, and their list didn't get updated.  But we'd been at sea for several days and there had been no Man Overboard announcements, so they should have looked a bit harder.  We weren't hiding -- other crew on board knew where we were.  But that was it for me and RCCL and now their ships are way too big.  HAL is the best, by far !  And HAL has never lost me 🙂

Please don't stop !  Before I moved to North Carolina, I looked carefully at Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte.  That didn't work out, so I settled here and often wonder what I passed up 🙂  So I really appreciate reading your daily posts.  We don't care which cruise line you sail on -- some people are just _____ (fill in the blank -- I don't want to get suspended).  Please stay.  I, for one, would miss you!

Some passengers tip and some don't.  But I always give the waiter $1.  Not necessarily so they will remember me (although they do), but because I know how hard they work.  So I like to award hard work.

Just a single this time -- but 10 days.  I'll take it!

My Navigator app says 2 days, 16 hours, 44 minutes until my journey starts on the Nieuw Statendam.  I *think* I can make it.  It's been a long time coming 😊

Embarking December 17, 2023, from Fort Lauderdale on Nieuw Statendam -- 10 day "Southern Caribbean Seafarer Holiday.

 I'm 3 star and my PCC was able to add it.  When I first asked, she was out of the office and the PCC covering her calls said it wasn't possible.  But when my PCC got back to the office, she was able to get it quickly applied.  

And she was confirmed for a 3:45 pm departure.  I hope Oosterdam isn't as late as she is ...  But good things are worth waiting for !
