I've been trying for two days to place a gift order for our upcoming sailing on the Oasis. Both the phone line and fax line have been busy, constantly. I've tried the 800 number as well as the 305 without success. Either it's busy or I get a message the call didn't go through.
I dislike making comparisons but I've never had this experience with Princess. A few more tries and I'll give up. Quite frustrating!

I have an autographed copy of his book. It's a fun read.

Here you go. It's getting close.

Thanks Bob.

Do you go to the Internet Cafe to sign up (along with several thousand others)?

Is it possible to order and pay for an Intenet package prior to boarding? I haven't seen it in the gift brochure similar to what Princess offers. Thanks.

We disembarked the Regal Princess a few weeks ago. Walked off the ship at 6:30, were through Customs and in a cab at 6:45, and in the Delta terminal at 6:55. Taxi fare was less than $15. Plenty of taxis were lined up at the Princess terminal.

I've also been wondering about these two specific hotels. We've got reservations at both with a tower room reserved to see the Cruise Port. I've got to decide which to keep and which to cancel.

On our very first cruise with Princess we were upgraded from a mini suite to Penthouse Suite! To this day we have no idea how, or why. :)

This is another option from Belkin which has two USB ports.

That's what we have and I also recommend it. But, be sure to get the 2.1 amp model.

I'm not sure about your question. Our luggage was on the bus with us and the bus stopped at different terminal entrances depending on the airline being used. Hope that helps.

I'm familiar with the Princess Ultimate Ship Tour and wonder if RCL offers a similar experience on Oasis? If so, is it like Princess in that you sign up once on board? Thanks!

We will be returning to Port Everglades on November 9th and will disembark the Regal Princess for a 10:45 Delta flight. There will be six ships in port that day. My question is whether cabs will be plentiful or whether we'd be better off using the Princess airport bus? Thanks for your insight.

I'm addicted. We recently went to Glacier National Park in Montana. I wasn't too excited since it wasn't a cruise destination (I would have preferred sailing there). Yes, I'm addicted. My wife, not so much, but she's glad I'm hooked. :)

I guess that's why it's called Elite. :)

I just saw this thread. My wife and I just made reservations at the Times Square Hyatt for Friday, Oct. 3rd. It's somewhat expensive ($340) but we decided to go for it. We're sailing on the Royal out of a Brooklyn on the 4th..

I'd like to know the same thing. We do travel a bit, know there are many options as far as pricing, etc.. I'm looking for a general response. Perhaps whether we'd be better off staying in the city, are there any concerns with staying in Brooklyn itself - those sorts of things. Maybe someone from outside the area has some experience they'd like to share based on their first hand experience with accomodations relatively close to the Brooklyn Terminal. :)

The maiden U.S. voyage is out of Port Everglades on November 6th. It's a shot Thursday-Sunday Caribbean itinerary. We're on that cruise and are hopeful the ceremony will take place prior to our departure. :)

I just noticed I used the word "debark". Maybe disembark would have been more correct. Either way, thanks for the help. :-)

We'll be debarking the RCCL Oasis at FLL in January. I'm wondering if planning a 10:20 flight is too early since the airport is so close to the cruise terminal? We were on a Princess cruise this past January and could have easily made the 10:20 flight. Thoughts?

I was concerned about this very thing before our Princess cruise to Norway. Here on CC, I asked about how to tip in that country. I was told that the workers there are well paid and that many of them would consider it an affront to be tipped. They would not like to be thought of as being underpaid or needing additional compensation. I don't know if this is true or not, but we did not tip there though I felt funny about it. Different cultures and customs??

Thanks for your reports. We're on the the Oasis in January. Subscribed. :)

We stayed at Hyatt Place on 17th Street. I'll recommend it.

I'm almost certain it's first come, first serve. When we took it we were told what number we were to have signed up. I think the cutoff was 12-14.
Gift Order, can't get through to them?

I got through, finally. :)
