Started out sunny. Then came the rain. 😅

We are currently making our way to Aalborg, Denmark. Scheduled to dock at 9:00 am. City Highlights is our tour today.

I don't want to open a jar of worms on this thread. Thus, counts will not be posted by me. Sorry! It just seems that these data incite unwelcome posts.

Having overnighted here we are still docked in Oslo. On our excursion we visited Viking Planet. The videos were awesome. I did have to look away for the fight scenes. The Virtual Reality part was not operational due to testing. City Hall directly across from the Viking Planet.... Next the Fram Museum.. Next the Kon-Tiki museum..... We had a glorious day of sunshine!

Our excursion for tomorrow will visit Fram! The excursion is called Norwegian Explorers. We will visit The Viking Planet (Viking Times with Virtual Reality technology), Fram Museum, and Kon-Tiki Museum. Sounds like we chose an interesting excursion.

Currently steaming our way to Oslo with a scheduled arrival of 5:00 pm. Woke to glorious sunshine this morning with temps moving beyond 50 F. Oh joy oh rapture! Here are pics from our amazing Ukrainian meal on the pool deck last night. First course was couscous with mushrooms, strips of nacho chips and mushroom sauce.... Main was turkey and beef cabbage rolls with pickled cabbage garnish from Chef Andrii's grandmother's recipe....... We enjoyed a Connoisseur's List Rioja with the meal.....unfortunately the picture refuses to load right size up. Chef Andrii did a spectacular job! One of the best meals we've had on this voyage.

Tonight is our Ukrainian meal which we will enjoy on the pool deck. Photos will follow tomorrow if the internet Goddess smiles.

Internet is taking a break from the hissy so I will attempt to post. Another grey rainy day. Our excursion was a cruise to Lysefjord. Here is the map of the route from the pier near the ship to the fjord. Pics from the sail..... Pulpit Rock (the square box shape mid upper of the photo).....

Day has been overcast and the skies opened with rain just after Myster returned. Here are pics from his walk about and ice sculpture from Magic Ice......

I decided I needed a rest day today in Bergen. Myster set off solo on the planned walking and ice sculptures tour. He is hoping to take pics with his phone. I will attempt to share some here later. For now it's chilling on the pool deck for me.

We had glorious weather! Our excursion today was Scenic Sognefjord by Coach and Rail. After tendering ashore we boarded a bus to take us to Voss. Here are pics from stops along the way..... We had a delicious lunch of smoked salmon on scrambled eggs, pork tenderloin and creme caramel at the Park Hotel Vossevangen..... Another photo from Voss..... From the restaurant we walked to the train station to board the Bergen train to take us to Myrdal where we changed trains to board Flamsbana (The Flam Railway). It was a beautiful trip and difficult to photograph. Tomorrow we are in Bergen.

At anchor now off Flam. Sunny for now. Full day excursion so reporting may be late. I'll definitely provide details on the meal which is scheduled for June 17th.

Lola, some ship is taking our docking in Flam. We will be tendering. Bah humbug!

We are currently negotiating a Ukrainian meal to be served on the pool deck. The Ukrainian chef Andrii is amazing. Tonight we had plated lobster that was excellent. I hate to cook so every meal at the Grill is plated for me. This man is an amazing chef.

Inclement weather did not detract from our excursion. I stood outside on the boat for our sail around Lake Loen in order to get photos. I must have looked like a drowned rat by the end of it and thankfully I gave up on vanity years ago. 😅 So here are the pics...... The water is jade green due to the sediment coming down from melting glaciers..... We stopped at the end of the lake for delicious Norwegian Waffles and coffee..... Boarded the bus for the return to port. Here are pics from photo stops.....

Grey drizzling day in Alesund. We had a very cool excursion booked which would have taken us to Troll Road. Last night after dinner we noticed that the excursion had disappeared from our agenda and our expenses had been credited with the cost. There was no notice of this cancelation. Reception said that there had been an avalanche. I'll check with shore excursions when they open at 5:00 pm. Disappointing! We're going to wait and see if the weather clears and perhaps go for a walk about.

Today we are steaming to Alesund, Norway with a scheduled arrival of 8:00 am tomorrow. Seas are still a little rocky. 3 to 4 metre swells and winds at force 4 on Beaufort scale. Cloudy and rainy.

After our wonderful Philippine in-suite dinner I sent a note to the Executive Chef expressing our thanks. Tonight we came back to the suite after dinner to find.... Along with a note saying "With Compliments" from Executive Chef Christian Davino. I love Silversea!

Sculling is a national sport here in the Faroe Islands. A competition is set to go at 3:00 pm today. Crafts and teams are gathering at the pier where we are docked.
