  1. I am also disappointed Princess is leaving Houston. I was on the Emerald earlier this year. Granted we were delayed leaving port by almost a full day, we were still able to visit every port on our itinerary and I still had a wonderful time. I've left from both Bayport and Galveston and I much prefer Bayport. It is a much newer and cleaner facility.

  2. I will be traveling to Alaska next September with my Parents on the Coral and will be in PR726 (I use a wheelchair full-time). I am hoping someone might be able to share pics/experiences of this stateroom. I realize it does not currently exist on the Coral but it does on the Island. Thanks!

  3. Just recieved this email.

  4. Can anyone tell me about hanicap cabins. wheel chair . Any pictures would be great. Thanks

I use a wheelchair full-time and have cruised with Princess 3 times including twice as a solo cruiser and once in a Window Suite on the Golden Princess. The bed configuration in accessible staterooms is the same as any other, can be a twin or Queen. The non-accessible Window Suite (F301) we had on the Golden while in Alaska had the Queen bed and a pullout sofa. This made for a tight space. It is my understanding the Accessible Window Suite has much more room. The staterooms themselves are much larger than your average stateroom and the balconies have always been large enough for my wheelchair.

If they aren't removed, I have placed two links to Accessible articles I have written for wheelchairtravelingdotcom. One is from the Ruby Princess and the other is from Royal on her Maiden Caribbean Voyage. I hope they will be of some help to you.

  6. Not a huge deal, but I wouldn't miss the piblic balconies on the aft end of the passenger corridors on decks 11, 12, and 14. Also the outside deck over the bridge wings via the forward passenger corridor on deck 14 port side.

Is the deck over the bridge wings accessible? I use a wheelchair and am considering a cruise on Oasis or Allure. Thanks!

  7. I LOVE the crab shack on Princess ships. I've experienced it on the Royal and Ruby. Well worth the $20 cover charge as there is plenty of food and I've always been asked if I wanted more of something, just haven't accepted the offer.

  8. Hello,

I'm considering taking my first RCCL cruise and was curious about whether or not you can send your friends & family RCCL e-cards without having to purchase and internet package? This is a feature I really enjoy on Princess and am hoping I would be able to do the same on RCCL.

    Thanks!
