  1. It is possible to request a table for two for early or late fixed dining when booking the cruise.  I understand that it is possible to request a table for two in open dining although there may be a wait.  It is easy to eat in the lido without sharing a table.  We have never had to share a table in any of the dining areas.

  2. Approximately 2 years ago I was told they stayed in place al long as the card was being actively used.   Recently someone at the credit card ompany said something vague that led me to believe that I needed to use them now rather than wait for final payment on our cruise so I redeemed my points as credit on my current bill.  Later on next year after final payment is reflected on the credit card statement I will do the redeem the accured points in the same way

  3. The beautiful boquets of flowers throughout the ship has always been one of my favorite things.  They have not been mentioned by recent cruisers so I will ask if they have been discontinued?  I hope they are a continung tradition.

  4. In the distant past I recall Juliet balconies mentioned in connection with Spa Veranda cabins.  Are they on Pinnacle class ships..and on both deck 10 and 11?

Thanks for any help.  My search didn't provide the info I am looking for.

  5. I realize that suite guests and 4-5 star mariners board first.  After that is the boarding done from highest decks down to lowest?  This seemed to be the case several years ago in San Diego but I have no idea if that is the usual organizational pattern.

  6. We are looking forward to cruising next year.  The question of laundry and traveling with less luggage is being discussed.  Is dry cleaning and pressing a wrinkled but clean item included in the unlimited laundry package?

  7. We are looking forward to the day the pandemic is over and we can take a cruise to celebrate DH's retirement.  We often choose a veranda cabin near the forward elevator on the Navigation deck.  Since the Pinnacle class ships have outdoor movies shown near the Lido pool area we likely to hear movie noise in our cabin?  Thanks for any info or experience,

  8. While doing research on cabanas I read one post which stated that the Eurodam lido cabanas had been moved to the other side of the pool to match those on the Nieuw Amsterdam.  I want to confirm that this is accurate information.  Would the congestion of people waiting for their Dive In order bother the people in the first few cabanas?

    Thanks

  9. Does anyone know if the lido cabanas are taken down on the day that the Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam go through the locks on Panama Canal cruises?   This would  create more viewing space for passengers to view the locks.  I have seen them taken down for special events so I am wondering about canal days.

We will reserve a lido cabana but its availability/ or not  will determine which cabin we choose.

    Thanks

  10. Since Holland America charges earn double points (I assume that is still correct information), I book my shore excursions and indulgences prior to redeeming my points.   I called  to redeem my points as soon as the final cruise payment appeared on my credit card statement.  It did not completely pay for the cruise but it sure helped.

  11. I have stayed in  cabins  on the 8th deck.  In fact this is our desired location....no problems with motion.  This may be different on a transatlantic cruise.  Cabins directly  under the pools may have a bit  noise.  Under the spa or under the lido restaurant are usually quiet.
