And last week August will be very light-kids back to school on sept 1st or 2nd for most schools in the NE so you should be able to get a great deal. Be patient.
-
It will not sell out. Prices will drop dramatically 60 days out and if still not sold, drop again at 30 days. Look at the May/ June pricing to see. Has dropped a lot past few weeks,

Maybe this no single supplement will be a new trend. I am going to join my parents as a surprise on their 5/25 cruise. $1077 total for a balcony cabin all to myself!!!

How many wristbands do you get with a cabana? Can we share with three people or is it just two people?
-
What is the price for a cabana? And does that include the admission or is it $79 pp in addition to cabana cost? If cabana cost includes admission, for how many? 2 or could we have 3 share the cabana? Cabana comes with F&B credit, right? How much?

I tried to read the whole thread sorry if I missed this. Does anyone have a sense of the cost of frozen drinks like a piña colada, margarita or mudslide? Would they be included in the classic package? How about mixed drinks like cosmos, apple Martinez, mojitos?
Thanks in advance.

My 13 yr old was as shy as could be. Never liked kids clubs and didn't want to go to the one on our Epic med cruise last year. Made him go first night. He became a diff person- wanted to be in there every second and came home with an " award"- " most likely to be missed" voted by all 60 or so teens in the program.
-
We did this last year. There were more kids than you can even imagine! Flooded with kids. But our kid, 13, had a great time. Most Europeans speak some English so language was not an issue and meeting kids from all over the world ( "they are so much more interesting than the boring kids from NY") was a highlight for him.

Epic drink prices were $5-7 for a beer, $6-10 for a glass of wine $6-7 basic mixed drink, $7-8 for frozen drink, $8-10 for "fancier" drinks/ martinis. Those prices are before gratuity added. I would bet Breakaway will be similar if not a little higher given sailing out of NYC where those prices would be on the lower end of typical

I agree than 8-12 is the age where kids begin to dislike the DCL kids clubs depending on their interests. Their tween & teen programs are NOT great.
Remy is remarkable and puts most restaurants on land to shame.

To comment on the last point, I think the adult areas on the DCL ships (especially Dream and Fantasy) are awesome. Unlike most NCL ships, DCL actually has an entire pool area for adults only and it is very relaxing. The bars/clubs on DCL were great for adults. Very well-done. Other than the casino being missing, I really do think there are plenty of things for adults to do on the DCL including some great evening events and musicians and the bars are just gorgeous with excellent drinks (priced cheaper than NCL if I remeber correctly althogh not by too much)

Rooms are way better on Disney. Service and food fairly equal with Disney a slight edge. Entertainment is also better on Disney although both are good. For a 4 yr old, the kid's clubs with Disney are completely without compare- they are that much better. Once kids get to be 12+, I think the tween/teen programs are equivalent. If you are only going to cruise once or twice, do Disney now with the 4 yr old. At that age, I do think it is worth the premium.

I am pretty sure that somewhere I read about 2 for 1 martinis 5-7 pm. Can't remember which bar.

The SUVs used are mini- ones and they would not hold 4 people, 4 suitcases and a few carry- ons. You'll need 3 cabs.
-
You'll need three cabs with that much luggage.
-
Why would you all need to be in the same vehicle? Grab a few cabs. Cheap and no advance planning needed. Or, if you don't have tons of luggage, walk. It would take around 30 minutes at a very leisurely pace. Just make sure you walk west first and don't try to go up 7th ave or you'll hit crazy crowds around Penn Station and then the bus terminal.

Can I have a cool pic of mine, please? Pretty please. 12103
-
Why don't you recommend pre- buying it as a Bon voyage gift?
-
Thank you! I am confused about Spice H2O which says adults only until 8pm? Does that pool then open for families at night? One thing we will surely miss from other lines is the chance for movies while being in the pool
-
I picked cabin 12103 because it looked like a larger balcony. Does this one have a larger balcony? Any obstruction or privacy issue I should be aware of?
TIA

Ah. Got it. Thanks!

Is the Manhattan Motown cabaret in the Manhattan dining room a version of the Legends Show?
-
On Epic, how do I tell which cabins have the bed near the balcony?

Hurricane season and the week or week after kids go back to school in the NE. It will be a very light sailing especially from a kids on- board perspective. You'll have no issue getting a cabin booking this sailing 30-45 days out.
