Before 2020, the stock price was too high for me to consider doing this
As the price dropped, I bought my 100 shares and paid for my daughter to also have her 100 shares
I know that these will pay for themselves in my lifetime of cruising
Ps. I did the same for royal. Those have tripled since the 2020 low ( could never buy them at this price )
And yes, my financial advisor told me not to do it

I have read so many of these horror stories over the years
I once traveled with 3 other adults ( who do not travel often) asked to see all the passports before we got into the car
We were driving from Montreal to NYC to catch a cruise
We are about 2 hours from the border
But who wants a 4 hour detour.

Can only 1 person get the quench ? Or each person needs to have some sort of drink package ?

Question
It does not look as if carnival has a dining package ?

What I love of costa is the " dual," vacation
I have 21 days on Costa
Love that when I was on the ship, I felt like we were in Italy
Off the ship, the Carribean
It was over 10 years ago
So looking forward to this new booking

Just got through Halifax
If I may add
There is a beautiful public library with an amazing terrace on the top floor.
Went with the grandkids last year, there was a play area, they could have spent the day there.
Also, pier 21 has a museum that is the Canadian 'ellis island '
.
Question
We're there many kids on your sailing ?
I have sailed costa and carnival, wondering how this ship blends the 2

We were looking at this ship for Nov 2024
Just found this thread, I am on page 10
But we have gone ahead and booked.
Reading Saint John
I was on the liberty which was one of the first ships back after Covid
They were working on the container village then
.
Looking forward to the next 30 pages hihi

I knew it would only be a matter of time before they realized how high is too high.
Hoping for this to filter down to cruise prices for 2025.
Unfortunately, not everybody knows they can cancel and rebook
Also, now people will be happy that it is 50 %
Off and think it is a deal

Exactly. They will charge what people are willing to pay.

I have a Holland cruise booked for May.
That one, I booked in cad directly as the rate was much better with hal directly.
Not sure if carnival has a good rate for Canadians
If not, my TA is in the USA and I have a USd visa with RBC
I have friends in the USA, not sure the implication if I use their phone no.

Interesting...this blog.....we are in Canada....I went to the site and it seems Canadians can sign up.....for $12 membership fee.....not sure what the Carnival Card discount is in %.....does not say.....so if I bought a $100 card....what do you actually pay??? or the $500 one...taking the family on a cruise and looked at the drink prices.....any discount would help.....thanks for info
I am also in Canada
Signed up for AARP
The ask for a USA phone no to access the rewards page
What have others done ?

You know your niece.
With the packages you have included, there is no reason for her to spend extra
Not sure when your trip is, maybe she has time to find a way to earn some money for any extra she may want
You are amazing to take her on this trip and this can be a great teachable moment

I agree. Take a tour and see Provence

You never know how the crossing will be
We did a TA on azamara one year wear captain did everything to avoid a hurricane
It was rough, but in those extreme cases, you will feel it no matter the size of the ship.
Other crossings, smooth as glass .

I once travelled with a friend who refused to put any info on her luggage because she was afraid somebody at the airport would know she was away
I hope she never loses her bags

On ncl, you can not use OBC for crew appreciation.

I am not aware of any Celebrity ship that has waterslides.
You are right, my bad.
But royal does,
You get my point
-
May have a nice tour already organized on your roll call

Stay on ship and do water slides onboard.
Cheaper and probably no lines
( But they are probably closed while in Port :((

Short answer. Yes
