Maybe I don't understand what you're asking about, but I'm seeing excursions labeled both "Debark tour" and for "in-transit guests" on the turn-around day for my March cruise on Sky Princess. I may take the airboat ride.

Thank you. I had not read the details just the headlines which refer to airport transfers. We did the pre airport excursion with airboat ride and Flamingo Gardens just before lockdown. That was an excellent trip.

Some ideas to see Fort Lauderdale on your own.

As a b2b passenger you can leave the ship anytime after disembarkation has begun and return anytime after general boarding has begun up until final boarding time. You have to bring your passport, medallion and intransit card with you. If you wish to walk around the downtown beach area you can take a taxi/Uber there. It's a fairly short ride. There are lots of sidewalk restaurants along the beach area.

There is also the Water Taxi. Assuming the ship is at pier two you can walk to the nearest water stop by the Hilton Marina hotel. Schedules are on line.

The Sun Trolley has a number of routes and stops along the way. There is a stop right near the pier on SE 17th St. You can stroll up SE 17th St. There are shops a few restaurants and a shopping center behind the Embassy Suites hotel.

Thank you very much - this may be what we do. 😁

  3. We have a B2B cruise booked on Sky Princess in March. I was wondering if Princess offer any shore trips for passengers remaining on board for the second cruise. I am aware that they do have post cruise excursions that end at the airport but was wondering if there were any that brought you back to the ship? Many thanks in advance.

First time on Princess in 50 years and would like to know general times for evening shows in theatre?

It varies according to location and itinerary. North America is usually 7:30 and 9:30. In Europe this year it was 8:15 and 10:15. It may have something to do with when the MDRs open.

Probably the most common Indian meal in the UK !

And available as a ready meal, or as a cook in sauce everywhere.

I imagine the chefs on board just use a prepared sauce ( like we do!)

For clarification Chicken tikka Masala is the most common Indian meal in the U.K. It is Indian cuisine but was created in the U.K. Marsala is a wine from Italy often used in cooking.

Check the enhanced voyages again, some have been eliminated.

Almost all have been eliminated. Is this correct though? I thought one of the reasons for the enhanced guidelines was Canada’s insistence on pre- entry testing. Unless Canada has changed its position? All Canada voyages a have been removed from the enhanced guidelines.

  7. What a Lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed your time in our beautiful country. With regard to your delay getting into Belfast, this is a common event. We were delayed until 5 in the evening having expected to dock at 7am. The problem is a combination of winds and tides. The crew can deal with the tides but if the winds are blowing in the wrong direction it makes docking very difficult.

Can someone kindly tell me the cost for Chef's Table and also if you feel the experience is worth the cost? Thank you

On the Sky in April it was $100 or $115 with wine. Definitely worth it - great food and service!

What you see are the cabins still not assigned to anyone so they can be booked.

You cannot tell how many of them might eventually be used to fill guarantees.

Example: You see 25 cabins available in the type you are looking for. Assume Princess has 10 GTYs already for this type cabin. When 15 of the 25 are sold, Princess will say only GTYs are available since they need 10 for the already booked GTYs. They may still allow some additional GTYs to be sold as they have historical data they use as to number of expected cancellations.

And what would happen to the GTYs if I chose to book all 25 cabins for my extended family and friends?

  10. I believe there is an element of capacity control. Our cruise on Sky has been listed as currently unavailable for the last month. ( as have other Sky voyages). Immediately   prior to the cruise becoming unavailable there was plenty of rooms available. Princess has taken a lot of stick lately due to poor service standards resulting from lack of staff. I believe They are now limiting capacity to proportion to staff available.

  11. We are on Sky in October and it has been unavailable for the last three weeks or so. I have spoken to my PCS at Princess and she said all is well. In fact we got a change of itinerary on Friday. I suspect that staffing problems are dictating availability. That is to say they are trying to maintain passenger crew ratios.
