MSC has reduced solo supplements and solo cocktail parties.

Your competitors have stepped up their game to recruit solo cruisers. Will RC be doing the same?
Also, can we please have more long cruises, especially out of the northeast?

As long as you have phone that will support it, and the correct T-Mobile plan along with the ship's wifi, texting and data should be free. I've done many trans-Atlantics and trans-Pacifics with no problems and no charges.

We have had several cruises since earning our first block. We earned it on our favorite ship Jewel. When we were on Oasis a month ago, I asked the LA if we were missed or maybe the points changed to qualify. He said you should’ve received it on the Jewel cruise. He said it would be mailed to us. Now I’m doubtful, does it normally take awhile, like months?
I'm waiting for a Jewel box since October.

Had this problem on my last cruise. Although I couldn't access my set sail pass, my travel agent could. He emailed it to me.

Is it possible that the person from the Next Cruise desk made some of these errors? I often found the NC reps made errors on my bookings and I no longer use them for that reason.

Lots of stairs and walking on cobblestones and uneven walkways. You will sleep well because you will be tired from all the exercise.

Exactly. But nothing on that list with personal information like how old someone is. So you’re saying there was a line item for they get a compass because they are over 65. 🧐
It was a column with a checkmark as was the one for people who get upgraded amenities for being over 340 C&A points.

And how does your room steward know how old you are ? Lolol.
He had a list of cabins, occupants, C&A status, pre-paid gratuities and if that cabin gets a Compass.

On my last 2 cruises, my cabin steward said that they are told to give Cruise Compasses to all people over 65.

Great news. Anything that saves us a few dollars is always welcome. We love the chat feature for family cruises.

We prefer once a day. A solution to the problem would be once a day unless you put your magnet out requesting a second service.

I put a tiny butterfly. No reason but I like it!

I received and completed the survey. There were so many new ports mentioned. I looked up a lot of them on a map and found some of them to be very interesting. Wondering if RC is considering them for Royal or all their lines. Some seemed too small for a Royal ship unless there is going to be a lot of tendering. Hope to see some of them on itineraries in the very near future.

What is the problem with the cable cars?
We were there 2 days. 5 ships in port one day, 6 the second day. Lines for the cable cars were very long and disorganized. People cutting in line. Those getting off the cable cars had to walk through the lines waiting to get on. There was a fist fight the first day because one man thought another man cut the line. They need to put up ropes or something to organize the line. It was horrible.

Visited Santorini twice last month. All tours had cable car tickets. You could walk the steps if you dare. Donkey rides were extra. Lines for cable car were long. It was very hot. Only RC brought bottled water to their guests who were in line(thank you RC). I would recommend you go with a private tour.

Agree with others. Radiance Class is like M class and Quantum class is like Solstice Class. If you decide to go with Quantum class, look to see what shows are on the ships you are considering. I like both classes but have found Radiance Class goes to more interesting ports.

Changing a cruise port is one thing, but changing an embarkation port is not something that just happens with cruise lines. I would demand a full refund or make myself their new worst enemy.
Royal Caribbean changed the embarkation port on our cruise last month from Barcelona to Tarragona. Didn't require a flight change but hotels and transfers were all messed up.

An FYI to your FYI, a side to side cruise is a term that originated on Cruise Critic and is not widely accepted within the cruise industry.I thought a side to side is when you go from one cruise on a line to another cruise on a line. For example, Jewel of the Seas to Oasis of the Seas. Going from one cruise line to another is a bag drag. Ha Ha.

I've done RC to MSC in Miami. There is some downtime between cruises. If it's nice weather, it's no problem because there are places to sit outside. When I did it, it was raining so we had to hang out under a canopy while waiting. Not a big deal.

Even in Europe things are not all the same - it still varies by ship/port.
OP asked about Rome and in Rome you don't have to get off the ship. You also don't have to get off in Barcelona, Athens, Amsterdam, Copenhagen etc.
Will the higher prices per fare and unpopular changes in the MDR have you considering changing lines?

They always do. There should be non-shellfish offerings on the menu.
