We received emails today to check in for our Oct. 30th cruise. Completed with no problem. Funny thing is I haven't paid for the cruise yet. Final payment isn't due until end of the month.

We're October 16, and lots of rooms still available, YC1, and today one of the Royal Suites opened up as well. And when I say lots, as an example, on deck 16 where our room's located, there are only 2 others booked. Deck 18 only has 3 rooms booked. Unless these are all rooms that haven't been assigned yet after everyone's rooms went up for grabs a while back. Although that makes no sense, because I'm seeing these rooms available on another travel website. They're all available for booking.
Just had a thought. If everyone in YC is vaccinated during our week, wonder if they'd do a no mask required thing there?
No masks in YC would be great. Hope we are allowed to board whenever we want. I'd hate to miss out on the first day because of a very late boarding time. Did our check in for Oct. 30 cruise today.

I was waiting for people to start getting blocks again so I can trade my Serenade block for something else. Somehow I managed to get 3 Serenade blocks in a row. Now that won't happen.

Our 10/30 sailing has been changed also. Same schedule as the others. Boo hoo hoo! Hope it's changed again. Not worth flying to Miami for this one.
Just noticed we no longer have a cabin assigned.

I question the cruising at 100%. Makes me think this article may be inaccurate.
Sorry, I misread this article.

The article did not state they are sailing at 100% capacity. It merely stated the tech spec of what the 100% capacity is. We know their plans include vacant cabins for isolation contingencies.

Sorry if I misinterpreted it. I always question articles in Cruise Industry News since they have a history of publishing incorrect sailing dates.

I have my doubts about the accuracy of that article since they show all ships sailing at 100%, which we know is not happening.

Fingers crossed that Oasis comes to Bayonne. On my two October cruises there are so many cabins available which to me is not a good sign.
Don't forget, we'll probably be sailing at a limited capacity. Lots of cabins will be open.

They are boring. Maybe Royal could look into changing the way they handle M&G. MSC has a much better system. Lots of Officers that go around and spend quality time with people, group picture, special cake, snacks on each table, variety of drinks etc.

Since Oasis is going to sail with a fully vaccinated ship, there is no reason she can't be up in Bayonne for Sept/Oct. cruises. All she needs is CDC approval. Michael Bayley said they were hoping to have Oasis sail from Bayonne this year to do her Bahamas cruises. Just made my final payment on my Oct. cruise today.

Just send this in. You will receive an email confirming your request. You will get a gallon of distilled water and an extension cord in your cabin.

Are the cabins serviced twice a day or just once?

Since Michael Bayley specifically mentioned Oasis from Bayonne, vaccinated, I think she will sail as long as they can get CDC approval. The NY/NJ/CT/PA market is too big to neglect.

Did 2 crossings in September. Saw the Northern Lights several nights on one of them. Conditions have to be right.

Every bit of information RC can share with us is great. Glad to see Oasis mentioned. Hoping to cruise on her October, 3rd.

8 Cancelled so far, including one in this last batch of cancellations. Have 8 booked beginning in October. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Jewel of the Seas. 8 cruises on her and 2 more booked. I like the ports she visits and think the food and service is better on her.

I can’t find any cruises out of Cape Liberty for 21, just 2022
They are still listed when I pull them up on Royal's website.

From the website, it shows only July and August sailings for Oasis... and then beyond that I didn't check.
We are booked on Oasis in October from Bayonne, so she is there until fall.

Great photos. Didn't RC announce, at the beginning of the Covid break, that they were going to redo the menu's? Maybe it was just a dream. 🙂

I had a survey about a month ago and today I received a different survey. Both of them were about covid protocols and vaccines.

Darn. Thought it might be connected to re-starting for this year. Oh well! Thanks for the info.
I have an October cruise from Cape Liberty, so I hope cruises open up in NJ soon. They are still on the calendar on the NY/NJ Port Authority web page.

Booked on Oasis for 7/16 out of NJ. Just received an email survey from RCCL asking if I'm vaccinated, what protocols I expect to see onboard, i.e. requiring vaccinations, social distancing, masks, enhanced cleaning, etc. Also asked if our decision to book was based on being vaccinated (which of course it is). Interesting to get this today.
We also received this questionnaire but it is about a cruise we have booked 7/2022, not this year.
