They go near where the whale are and turn off their engines. After that it is up to the whales which boats they like better to get close to.

 

Smaller boats = better experience IMHO.

I have finished in Rome twice and both times the ship docked at about 3am - if you arrange for a car service and walk off you should make it to FCO as long as there are no major road problems

We will be on the Allure in early March with 5 other ships-we plan on taking the ships Playa Mia cooking/beach excursion-but the excursion is only 5 hours long.

Can we just stay longer and take a taxi back to port?

We have done ate reservations in the past and it was great but the times we want are not available now-looking for alternatives

We are three couples on the Allure in February - we would like to make dinner reservations using the Anytime Dining system - currently there are no times available between 5:45 and 7:45 and we would like to eat at around 6:15.

Just want to verify that we could just show up at about 6:15 and get a table for the six of us. Also thoughts that if we get a good wait staff we could possible reserve future dining with the same wait staff.

Thoughts?

We used a highly recommended company, smithsforairports.com - they picked us up after customs (which always takes a while) and drove us directly to our Southampton hotel- I think it takes about 90 minutes but they can give you a better estimate- we also arranged for them to take us back to London after the cruise

We are on the Grandeau of the Seas stopping in Boston on August 1 from 1000 - 2300. We are thinking of going out for dinner somewhere in Boston. If I contact Uber where do they meet us at the port? Can they come close to the ship or do I have to walk outside of security?

The offers change but what we find great is that you can log onto celebrity's web for free and find out the current offer then go to the future cruise office and see hats extra.

 

We've done it multiple times and got extra obc, gratuities etc by booking onboard. For instance we've got an extra $300 obc on a 6 night cruise

Have cruised a lot but have never booked another cruise while on a cruise. We are on the Summit in Feb but are very interested on the Eclipse in April 2018 sailing in Ireland/Iceland.

I understand I might get extra benefits booking on one cruise but I could then transfer to my regular TA when I get back home.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.
