Newer laws are in effect. Both doctor and pharmacy said hey could not do any extra pills (only needed 10) or give it early. I live in Florida and laws are nutty down here but there is part that is Federal too. Thanks for replying. I sail from CA and return to NY.

A sleep medicine I take is listed as a controlled substance. I can only get a 30 day supply. I will be on a Panama Canwl cruise when I need a refill. I have talked to both my doctor and CVS. This time I think I can cover it, but how does everyone else deal with this problem on long trips pverseas?

I ordered some currency for each port. Totally unnecessary. Charge cards used everywhere, even in local markets and cups of coffee.

Just back from Regal July 18th. Enclave was lovely. Beds were warm except up the step on the left. Water in the mineral pool was warm and sauna great. Fountain pours down and relaxes your back, other jets work on legs.

Please keep posting updates so I know if I need to be early or late. Doing an Alla tour on the 21st In St. Pete . Regal Princess starting on July 15

When in port I use Verizon. It is $10 for 24 hour total access-I use it like I am at home. I call and text and check email, etc. I am Elite so at sea I email.

I have bought jewelry on board several times. No issue.

I sent a light weight cotton blouse. The tags used to identify it put 3, 1/4 inch holes in a triangle pattern. T shirts and jeans fine, but nothing that needs a gentle touch.

Good grief! All this has changed in the 6 months since I cruised with Princess. Not very happy right now. And I have been on hold for over 15 minutes waiting for a rep on the phone. Guess it will not be a 5 this time!

No, only Princess took up the offer. However there will be volunteers at the port when you arrive. They will be armed with free leaflets and good advice :)
This is our website -www.cruiseforth.com
The bad news is that one year Celebrity couldn't operate their tender till late in the day at your port, Newhaven. However they did get off in time for the Tattoo and enjoyed the next day as they had an overnighter.
Thanks for the website and info. See you on CB July 21

I took the helicopter tour to the top of the glacier to go dog sledding (loved it) in July. Have a wonderful picture with us bundled up with gloves and parka. Guide is in a t shirt and bare arms! We look like idiots! We probably could have dressed more like the guide but since we had lugged the stuff with us, felt sort of obligated to wear it.

The pool area makes a big difference for me, so after 1 Royal cruise I am back on Ruby and others like her. 4 pools and everyone has a spot.

Lanyards are for sale after you leave port or you can buy one before you go. No "pins" like Disney. I never carry a purse on the ship except a tiny thing for formal nights. With Princess, YOU choose how and when you want to dine. Traditional means same time, same table, same waiters, etc. Anytime means you pick each day (might be a 10 min. wait for peak times). Sometimes I do one, on the next cruise I do the other. If you do traditional and something isn't working ask to change.

I can't advise you about getting off the ship but moving around town at 3AM is not a problem. I had a taxi pick up at 4:30 from a hotel and the street party was still in full force and going strong. Lots of folks about. Airport was a little hard to navigate as my carrier was not listed (it was a "sister" of the one listed and it took a little while to find someone that knew that).

My main complaint is the buffet line on "Westy" is divided so that it is impossible to get warm eggs, sausage and toast to the table at one time due to length of terrain between locations. This is now true on Royal. The other cabin comparison was that Hal has less flat places for items in the cabin (we needed charging areas for phones, cameras, etc) plus CPACs, etc. We also had a towel taken from the beach and were treated like felons by HAL. I did like their shows and food was good in the Dining Room.

Since no one else has posted-I'll state what little I remember... There is nothing in the main area of the shops by the pier. I remember a monument in the "town" when we had rented a golf cart. I believe the little museum also had info on it. The museum was tiny and had AC with info on wrecks and I found it interesting but only if you plan on exploring the very quiet island.

You will find tons on info on the PORTS-NORTH AMERICAN-WEST COAST http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=413
It is on the main page of the Forum, just further down.
BTW I love the DoubleTree and they have a shuttle to take you to dinner. Supershuttle will take you to San Pedro

A crazy thing happened to me on the Princess site. When I hit "sign in" it did not recognize me. Tried it again twice. No luck.
Then, under booked guest I clicked "My Princess" and was instructed to "sign in". Did so and signed in the same as I always have. No problem.

Tried that and tried different access. Guess I'm not booking anything this weekend.

Same email, no changes at all.

I'm sailing on cruise #14 with Princess in a couple weeks. The website no longer recognizes me! I spoke with Princess on the phone and was told, "no one is available to fix that until Monday and maybe not till Tuesday because of the holiday." I can access info for the upcoming cruise by using the booking number but I can't check prices, see My Princess, etc. I was going to use my time off to make final decisions for future cruises. Without the login I can not see the best rates.
I would think weekends are a high volume time for Princess. Getting passengers booked seems like a priority. Would it be too much to ask for a little technical help? I doubt I am the only one that ever has a tech issue. Does anyone know of additional email addresses or phone numbers to call for help?

Silly question maybe but do the bungalows have private bathrooms?
are they worth it over the clamshells?
Clamshells can be hot. I can get cool in comfort in the bungalow. Love to get the sand off in the outside shower.

I was able to print. They fixed it!
Precriptions How to get them on long cruise?

My doctor said absolutely no. Not even just the extra 10 that I need for my cruise on Aug 21. I talked with CVS and have a shot at filling an old script on the 16th for a lower dosage. I'll pay cash if in fact I can get it. This means all trips over 2 weeks are off the table for me. Of course, it also means I will try a new sleep doctor too. I have read the Florida law and know 30 days is the limit but it seems like a little wiggle within a year would not be too much to ask.
