  1. No looks repeated for me.  I do repeat the black bottoms...usually 3 different styles, and the tanks and camis...also black.  I've collected quite a few lightweight, wrinkle-free, colorful pieces over the years.  Also, earrings to go with the tops.  All these things take up very little space.  I also wear the same shoes with ALL these outfits.  Call me crazy...we all have our own style.

  2. Not much happening here, and I hope it's OK to add a little story.

The woman on the left spoke only French, and I don't speak French.

I was looking to buy a pearl mounted with a bale for my charm bracelet while in port Tahiti.

A gentleman shopper acted as translator for me, and at the end of the exchange, I had the pearl shown below.

The amazing thing about the story...she insisted on giving it to me.  She just would not take a penny.

She brought me to tears, and then she was in tears too.

So sweet, so generous, so kind.  It's always be one of my most treasured memories from our travel adventures.

PS-we did make a purchase in her store.

We have EZAIR flights to Rome about a week after you and United just recently trashed our flights.  Now, they have us flying from Harrisburg to Chicago, 55 min layover, Chicago to Newark (1 hour layover) then Newark to Rome.  The flights are absurd as those connections are potentially a disaster.  There are some alternatives but it would mean having to reach the EZAIR folks on the phone which is probably near impossible these days.  So we will wait another month and see how things develop.  Yesterday we did cancel a different August Princess cruise and I suspect the October cruise will eventually become just one more cancelled voyage.

We are making decisions before final payment as there is no way we want to get stuck with large FCCs on a cruise line that may not even survive.  And, as others have noticed, they have generally increased prices on future flights which appears to be a sly trick to diminish the value of all the FCCs that have been handed out like candy.

As long time avid cruisers we now wonder if there is any future for cruise lines in the next 2-4 years.  Fortunately we are also adventurous independent travelers so we can simply fly to places, rent apartments, lease cars, etc.  Being Seniors we now are starting to think that our cruising days have come to an end.  There is nothing the mass market cruise lines can do to create any kind of social distancing on crowded ships.  And we think, based on a lifetime in the healthcare industry, that any safe/effective COVID-19 vaccine is at least 3 years away..if at all.  The claims of a vaccine in a year to 18 months are just not realistic based on past history and the time needed for appropriate testing.

We're booked with EZAIR out of Harrisburg to Rome in October for Enchanted sailing.  Notice came last week with flight changes.  Harrisburg to Dulles to Newark to Rome.  At least they didn't put Chicago in there too.  I've changed flights on line before,  but haven't even bothered to see what's available as an alternative.

We're just holding on to the booking for now, but don't anticipate that we'll be sailing before fall of 2021.  All of our friends on this one are doing the same...just waiting for CDC or Princess to make the next move.  Maybe our Reunion Cruise with friends on the Sky last Jan/Feb will be our Farewell to Cruising.

It's likely we'll be spending more time in our RV when/if the virus is controlled, and national parks are open for reservations.

Hey Bob...  Hello from Walt Disney World.  Sorry to miss you and Holli...we begin our cruising on February 14th.

To answer your question, Nan and I give our extra tips at the end of each segment of a B2B. We find that works best for us.

We wish you and Holli a fantastic experience onboard the Sky...

    Hope you're enjoying Disney!  OKW?

Sorry our time on the Sky doesn't overlap.

This is one good reason why I try on everything I plan to take just before packing. I have had similar issues in the past. I think women's bodies just randomly change shape from time to time, even if we weigh the same amount... :classic_biggrin:

I believe that to be true, and my Aunt warned me about it when I was in my 30's.  She said about every 5 years, even if weight doesn't change, her body did in some way.  Not for the good.🤨

My sister, her friend, and I are going on a girls' cruise out of Galveston the first week of March. I thought this fabric would make some vacay-appropriate loungewear! I made the Carolyn Pajamas from Closet Case Patterns with fabric from FabricMart-dot-com.

These are adorable.  Was there much shrinkage with this fabric?

TA is booking the next cruise today.  I will have plenty of time to plan my packing this time since it's 5/1/2021 on the not yet completed Enchanted Princess.  It will be a 7 night from Athens to Barcelona, with stops in Kotor, Santorini, Naples and Messina with a few days pre and post cruise in both Athens and Barcelona.  Very excited!!

    Hi!

DH and I will be sailing on the Enchanted in the fall, and my capsule wardrobe packing list is already taking shape in my head.

    Enjoy your cruise!

I will say one thing that I've found to be very helpful when doing my capsule travel packing.  I've learned to lay out all the items...shoes, accessories...everything.  Then I take the time to try on each outfit.  You'd be surprised how an outfit that looks great in your head, and on the bed can miss the mark on your body.  Sometimes it needs just a little tweak.  Sometimes it doesn't make the cut.

Wow.  I feel humbled.  I didn't do anything like that when we got married 30 years ago.  I actually was wearing hose at the time.  It's nice to have something that I no longer own 🙂

No hose for me either, but she wants to wear them so I gave my 2 cents on how to make the decision.  My MawMaw taught me how to make up my mind about such things.  I hope she lets us know what she goes with, and posts a photo.

Hi Joanie, some of the sandals are very cute.:classic_biggrin:  I see it says they offer arch support...….something I need. Do you feel they are supportive?

I love them...can walk in them at Disney all day, but I don't really have any problems with my feet  I'm fortunate.

I believe that both Slice Pizzeria on the Lido deck and Alfredo's Pizzeria on the Promenade deck will be complimentary.

Yes, that's been the case. For a short time, Princess was charging for Alfredo's.  There was quite a backlash😵😠, and it's complimentary again.

We were looking forward to Take Five but its right beside both the casino and the cigar bar.  That doesn't look to good.   😞  I am not trying to rile smokers, its just an opinion.

I do not smoke. However, I would think that they have excellent exhaust systems and filters to remove the smoke and odor. As for the casino. Is there that much noise coming from a casino? Once you are in a different room, I do not think you would even hear it. i certainly can be wrong.

    Hi,

When DH and I were last on the Royal there was a huge tournament in the Casino..lots of noise...lots of smoke.

No issue with smoke or noise while in Club 6 each evening, and it's adjacent to both the Casino and Churchill's.

    Bob,

Sam and I have loved, loved, loved our cruises to/in the Pacific Islands.  These look awesome, and we've never been on the ship.

    Hope Holli is doing well.

Everybody gets a coupon book from Princess on boarding.

Not so for us.  We got one about 5 years ago, and I believe that was from the travel agent.  He also gifted us a nice bottle of wine and some other things.

About 15 months ago all the couples we were traveling with got one, but not us.

I asked our current travel agent, and I was told I must ask for it when I book.

OK, I asked, and was told none available.

I see the coupon books listed for us in the Travel Summary for our next cruise.

    I don't get it..I mean literally, I don't get the coupon book!!:classic_ohmy:

    What's up?

  14. I might be repeating myself, sorry, but we see Crooners as more than a bar. It is a Hub, we get to know the servers there and after a few days will recognize other pax, smile and say hello. It feels part of the Atrium and connected to everything else. Just off Crown - went to Adagio, great bar but we were the only people there !

On our one Celebrity cruise, which we enjoyed, there was a sprinkling of bars but none of them felt 'central' the way Crooners does.

Well said!! We love Crooners for so many reasons, and are sad to see it won't have a spot it's earned on the new ship.

I'll be contacting Princess to express my :((n)(n).
