Just booked it, only 13 tickets left so I jumped on it :)

We sail March 9th and they just released some yesterday. When we booked a month ago it was sold out. I had read awhile back that about a month before sailing there would be some so I just kept checking every couple of days.

How far ahead of your cruise do they release FTTF?

The only thing we check when booking a balcony is to make sure that the deck above us is just other cabins or that it is not a disco or dinning area, just to minimize the noise coming from above.

Does Carnival not offer any beach day excursions? You could try over on the ports of call boards, I am sure someone there will be able to point you in the right direction of a safe beach.

We have just bought new luggage for our next trip back to England, our previous luggage is still in okay condition, it has done 7 cruises, one trip to England and lots of mini weekend trips and hockey tournaments, guess we have been lucky.

We did Dunnd River Falls and the toboggan excursion, I would recommend whatever you do make sure it is an organized excursion, this is one place we wouldn't go off on our own.

We have travelled so much and kept forgetting a corkscrew I now just leave one in each bag/suitcase that we might take. They will help you out if you forget but for convenience take your own - if you remember :)

Never cruised Feb but we were once in Cozumel for Christmas Eve and it was hot but then we were there Spring break last year and it was on the cooler side. I would suggest checking on weather.com it will give you a 10 day forecast.

We have cruised once with our kids on RCCL and would not cruise with them again until our kids are old enough to put in a cabin on their own, their cabins were just way too small for us.

We had had a beautiful day in key West September 2009, just as we were leaving a storm started coming our way. Growing up in England you don't get to see anything think this, we both thought it was very cool.

We only took our first curise last year on the Inspiration but on the way there the kids were arguing who was going to step on the ship first, we came up with the idea of all holding hands and as best we can all jump on together. Third cruise coming up in 25 days and the kids are already asking if we are doing it again this time.

Daily pictures with the towel animals a must - we saved them all last year on the Liberty to take a big group picture on the last night - VERY disappointed when we got back to our room on the last night to find no towel animal and our room steward had taken away all the others too :(.

Newbie question: Why is it difficult to find your cabin? Aren't they clearly numbered? Is it because people forget their cabin numbers? :confused:

I think it is more likely that it makes it easier to find after a few DOD's!! :p

valacy1 - WOW - those are great!! I wish I was that creative. We are in the process of making one for my hubbies parents room, it will be the mother in laws 70th birthday, doesn't compare to yours but we are having fun making it.

I've only sailed with Carnival one time, but we DID decorate our door (well my mother's door). I did not see any other decorated doors on our floor. I wanted to go and see other floors to maybe get some fun ideas, however never made it! Guess I'll have to book a cruise again!!! We used the blue 3M painters tape. It held up the WHOLE time, no touch ups needed and it came down super easy and it left NO mess for Carnival.

This is a great one really cute - just showed this to my 10 year old and she wants to make it for her Nannies door - will be turning 70 on our cruise, hope you don't mind us stealing your idea.
