  1. Hi:

We are doing the same thing (driving down to Miami the night before) staying at a hotel and the next morning going on the "BLISS".

We are staying at the HYATT HOUSE - Miami Airport. We plan on dropping everyone but the driver (me of course) and the luggage at the cruise terminal then taking the rental van (there are 4 of us) back to the rental car company (BUDGET/downtown location I think) and then either taking their shuttle to the cruise ship or catch an UBER or a taxi.

I am not aware of many, if any at all where the hotel allows you to drop off the rental car there and then they give you a shuttle to the cruise terminal.

I would need more information to better answer your question.

  2. It appears that to order cruise photos for Celebrity and Royal Caribbean they are now directing you to to the cruise lines

site automatically to book them. (at least for some sailings, I just tried my upcoming Celebrity Nov. 16, 2017 sailing on "Equinox" and was given a message stating that we now have to book RCCL & CELEBRITY directly with the cruiseline).

  3. This is our experience using mycruisephotos.com to pre-purchase the "all photo USB" package.

The key to making it happen (all 4 people in the same photo package) really starts at the pier before you board the cruise ship. When you pass through check-in and before you board the ship, they have picture backdrop setup (usually of the ship\or something else). They ask you to stop and pose for a pre-cruise/boarding photo. Many times people just walk right on by and head on to the ship. In this case, as the ships photography uses "Facial Recognition" it is very important that all 4 family members get in on that first pre-cruise picture.

We did this last month on the "Harmony of the Seas". 2 rooms (2 adults and 1 - 21 year old and a 2 year old) we had pictures taken all over, both on and off the ship (port pictures) as well as people taking pictures with or without other family members being present and we got all of the pictures on as USB thumb-drive on the last night.

At least that is how it worked for us.

PS. We even misplaced the thumb-drive by the time we got home. When we contacted the company, they emailed us the entire picture file to our computer.

    Hope that this helps.

  4. You didn't give much detail. When are you cruising, which beach, how many people and for how long

of a time do you want to have the bus/coach at your disposal?

These various pieces of information can help to see if the cost (whatever you say you were quoted) is in fact "Ridiculously Expensive" or in fact a fair price for the services that you want them to provide.

Keep in mind that hiring a coach will be considerable more costly than just hiring a taxi/cab(s) to take you all to the beach. When you hire a bus/coach you are hiring the coach/bus, the driver for the whole time for the whole group. When you use a taxi/cab service they will just drop you off at your destination

and then leave you there. You can then arrange for another taxi/cab to pick you up later when you want to return to the ship.

  5. Really? Are you kdding me?

With all of the other RCCL issues that people are dealing with (as posted previously), this is your biggest gripe about RCCL.

I mean people are almost getting stuck on the ship because CC's are not being charged correctly. Bottled in-room water that has not been consumed is being charged for after disembarkation. There are no pepper grinders in the Main Dining room.

These are real issues involving real people. think of all of the heartache and damage that have been done to them.

People in many other countries don't even get clean, fresh (potable) water everyday and you want more. :(

Please give us all a break. And I don't mean a "KIT KAT" bar.

  6. Thanks so much for your info. We will be cruising with our Niece and her 2 year old daughter on the "Harmony" in May. (We have no children ourselves, well I guess my wife might call me a big kid :). I have posted on another thread asking for suggestions, got a couple but, yours being a personal, first hand experience has been the most informative so far. If you can think of any extra things that we might need to bring on the cruise (toddler has no known allergies) for her, please feel free to post them. (P.S. by the way I am originally from Toronto and now reside in Orlando, much easier to cruise from here......:)
