Tried this category and have to agree with previous post. Very loud rumbling, noise and vibration when pulling in and out of ports. Bumpy and sways with winds or slightly high waves, the wave action will wake you with the slapping on the ship bow. A seasoned passenger should be fine, but on rougher days it's better out of the cabin in open mid ship areas.

This might be an old post , but good ideas and useful information.

Hope all goes well. Thanks for your info.

I think they have thermal cameras to monitor crew and guests for temperature. This way if you have or develop a fever getting on or off ship they can screen you more carefully.

I booked through a travel agent and not Carnival? Do I cancel with the agent or with carnival?
I think through your TA has to do this, I'm not sure if Carnival would do it. Maybe since travel agents are so difficult to get ahold of right now and timing is important they could step in.

Doesn't function on my A32 either. Got it to run on my Samsung tablet using Samsung browser though in wouldn't work with chrome.

Good info everyone, hope it goes seamless for all of us!

I keep a beer bucket in the cabin and periodically run it to the buffet and fill it glass by glass, this way I don't need to bother anyone or wait disappointed.

We need them for end of November and second week of January, so I'll wait till end of October to order, I just need an expiration date that'll work through the January cruise.

Worth the search, thank you.

I'd prefer to print the documents, but we'll be driving a couple days before the cruise. I figure we'll end up doing the Emed test in a hotel, but feel uncomfortable using their printing service, if available. I also don't want to find a facility enroute and still printing could be an issue. Good to know we could show on a phone, I can snapshot the document and email just in case we loose connectivity at the terminal, this way it'll be backed up to a tablet too. Thank you for your responses.

Does the document need to be printed or can you just show Carnival the digital results on a phone?

This is in Allianz Covid 19 FAQ:
-
Am I covered if I cancel or interrupt my trip because the government has issued a travel advisory or warning for my destination due to COVID-19?
-
Our plans do not generally cover losses directly or indirectly resulting from government-issued travel advisories or warnings related to COVID-19, including those issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. Department of State.
However, as a temporary accommodation, please note that the accommodations and other coverage for which you are otherwise eligible under your plan continue to apply regardless of any U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. Department of State travel alerts regarding COVID-19 that exist on the effective date of our COVID-19 Coverage Alert. For the latest information and updates, please see our COVID-19 Coverage Alert.

Thanks for the heads up. We are on the Dawn Feb. 8, 2021 from Dubai, final payment coming up. Sounds like its cancelled but they haven't notified us yet. We only put a Cruise Next as deposit but it is past expiry date. Any idea what they will do with it?
Tony
Sounds like they already extended the certificate if it's past expiry. I hear they do this once, then back to original date if canceled. This happened to me, maybe Norwegian will push out certificates because of the virus, but so far have been very quiet.

We currently have booked a Jan cruise, New Orleans to Barcelona and a return in Feb and we're gonna call and see if we can't move these to the end of 2021 at least, cause we're definitely not going! Europe is already seeing increases in the virus and some lockdowns, not where we want to be!
We also have 3~b2b cruises booked for April that we'll also be rebooking to as late as possible, hopefully in both cases we're offered cruise credit!
If this cruise is on the Valor, I think Carnival has already canceled it.

I guess it could work if they retest for covid every other day.

Reading the small print, I'm not sure this can be used with a travel agent booking. It does say through specific cruise lines only. Anyone have luck through a travel agent?

The Allstate program is not available in New York, hopefully you live elsewhere or don't waste your time.

Just off the Sunrise, 12 of 62 showed up. I received a note in my cabin and notice in the Fun Times. We went because we signed up for it, others may just get caught up in the roll call, then drop off the Earth. It was first sea day around 1pm, we worked with it and others could've too, if they cared. We go probably once every 4 cruises to the event to see how it's progressing, obviously not that well. I will say on NCL it was packed and free beer was flowing in the Brewhouse, maybe that makes the difference.
Is there Indian food on the Carnival Venezia?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Just did a b2b on Venezia, the mid buffet has a theme like "taste the nations ". It changes daily and while we were onboard they featured Indian once per cruise, love the butter chicken. Also at dinner in the MDR every night an Indian entree is available.
