I did search - didn't find the answer.... apologies if it's buried here.

I have my own RCL Visa;  a family member (not immediate) has one also and has amassed several points since he has not cruised in 4+ years.

Can he request OBC for me with my name and reservation # ?  Are they transferable like that ?   He probably has a lot of points that are due to expire soon.

I assume it's better to CALL BofA vs do the online request (because personally the last 2 redemptions I did online, did not appear on my account until I CALLED them a few weeks later.  (although I only had to call the last 2 times -- every other time was automatic.)

Thanks in advance !!  (I know - who would give away their points/OBC? but he's not likely to go anytime soon.)

I found this on the web not on CC:

No, Royal Caribbean points earned through the Bank of America Royal Caribbean Cruises Visa program cannot be transferred to another person. Points are non-negotiable and have no cash value, except when redeemed for Cash Rewards.

However it can't hurt to call and ask.

It came from Royal Caribbean in an email. I usually just delete their emails but I must have done a quick glance at the preview of the email and saw the words "promo code" so I opened it. I tried to find it so I could post a photo but I must have deleted it. It came sometime in August cause that's when I made my booking.

I did realize when I went to enter the promo code in the booking, that there is a way to see if you have any promo codes available to you. There's a button you can click on in the booking process that says "apply promo code" or something like that, and when you click on it, it opens a box where you can enter the promo code, but underneath it there's another box that says "see if you have any promo codes" (or something along those lines).

The problem is that the promo code only came up 50% of the time when I was pricing out cruises, and the other 50% I had to copy and paste it from the email, so I wouldn't 100% trust that your available promo codes will pop up on their own.

I will have to start looking at those Royal emails before I delete them. Thank you so much.

Still not as good as the deal I got on an allure 4-day sailing next month. $516 for a Central Park balcony (as a solo). I got that fare during one of the weeks they had 60% off the second cruiser, and then they emailed a promo code for $100 off a short sailing. Best deal I've gotten on a cruise so far. I didn't even want to take a cruise that week but the deal was so good I just had to book it 😂.

Who did you get the promo code from? And how do you get them?

Just thought of a third CocoCay question - do they have life jackets for toddlers available? Or do I need to pack my son's puddle jumper?

They have life jackets for children both on the ship and at Coco Cay. Racks of them in at least 3 different sizes.

I feel stupid for asking that question. Sorry for wasting your time!

This is the place to come to ask any questions, if you don't know the answer it's not a dumb question!

Enjoy your cruise and Coco Cay. Cruisemapper.com has a port schedule for each port. Please reach out if you need further assistance, very happy to help.

On the recent benefit chart, the pins are still listed for Diamond and above.

We're D+ and in our balcony  cabins there are always several bottles of water when we arrive.

That is from the C&A, we just sailed last week 2 couples both Crown Loft Suites we are Diamond and the other couple are not, we had 4 bottles of water in our cabin they didn't. But we were both getting more from the Suite Lounge.

I'm also on the April 7th sailing and I'm not seeing hardly any events listed in the Daily Planner app. It did last week but pretty much the only events showing on the Daily Planner now are the shows which you have to make reservations for. Prior to last week, we were able to bookmark events like the comedy shows but they're no longer showing. For example, for Day 1, the Daily Planner starts at 6 AM and then the next time listed isn't until 7 PM. Surely there are many activities taking place on the ship between 6 Am and 7 PM. Are you seeing the same thing or is something wrong with my iPhone? Is this normal so close to the sailing?

It varies day to day what is there, as Biker 19th said you have to be connected to ship wifi for the most accurate version.

The only option for Blaze Comedy for my April cruise is “Add to calendar” which can only be done after you board. I had previously assumed there was no way to reserve prior to boarding, but now I’m wondering if all the dates have already sold out.

No it wouldn't look that way if it was already all booked. You have to be connected to ship wifi to reserve it, or be in a suite and have the concierge book it for you.

I can't smell aftershave or perfume 10 feet from someone, I can smell smoke like 30 to 40 feet away and on ships if you are below the smoking section it goes right into your balcony. They should make it all smoke free.

We sailed years ago on Carnival Paradise at that time the entire ship was non smoking, but it didn't last just a few years later they went back to allowing smoking in designated areas.

You can calculate your break-even number, but then you're going to have to hit that number every single day for 14 days. Can you keep up with that? It will become a chore after a while. If you buy the package it might not be to save money so much as it is to have the peace of mind to just order whatever you want whenever you want without thinking about the additional cost.

When I did it, it was mostly to have something else paid for before the cruise, that way I could spend what I wanted to on other things. I like to space everything out and pay for it along the way.

Thank you so much for all the advice!!!  He is type 2 and he does have CGM and check the numbers alot trying to figure out what spikes the numbers and what keeps them in check. Always watching the carbs too.  I feel so much better about going!!

Just one other question…..do you have issues going thru security with your supplies?  We won’t be flying for this cruise but probably will be in the summer.

When we flew with my niece who is type one, she was allowed an extra "medical carry on" that had all of her supplies. Obviously we couldn't afford to have it get lost so it stayed with us the whole time. No security issues at all.
