As 4 star we have cruised only holland America and always had a good response. Via roll calls. I agree much of some are self promoting but many are informative.

Mother passed away on her in 1985. Holland America was very helpful.  

And I've learned that some are more knowledgeable than others, depending in measure upon whether or not they've been the HAL rep on a tour.

Some tour reps on board are not too reliable. I questioned a tour in Hawaii and the rep showed me a picture taken on the tour showing 6 steps. In reality a co passenger counted more than 100 steps to reach the intended view followed by same to return to the bus.

Yes it is glass railing. They hose the deck every morning. May hear water running down drains if there is one near your balcony. BTW. your stateroom is called veranda. Suite is something we hope to upgrade. Lol. Also you are directly under the smoking area on the lido deck. Shouldn't be an issue.

Does anyone know which pier Holland uses in San Diego?

Where is it. I have been to all the big name travel agents. Not one have it. I need to get my annual cruise in my head. They all say they will let me know when it comes in. By this time of year my cruise has been booked for months. Help.

I can't remember the specs for the bathroom outlet, but if you turn off the bathroom light, power to the outlet is cut. I had brought a small, fairly dim nightlight a number of years ago, thinking to plug into that outlet, but as soon as I hit the lights for the bathroom it too went out.

Took the same nightlight for the bathroom for years. Power never cut when switch off. After dry dock on same ship prongs of night light will not fit.

Not uncommon. Ship just finished Alaska cruise season and wanted to clear out remaining Alaska inventory at mark down prices.

All the HAL crises we have been on a rubber mat has always been in the tub.

Had bottles in our checked bags for years. No problem. Just transfer them to carry on at arrivals airport.

Remember the days when we had fun games and gained points for prizes. I have several from 1998, water bottle holders, battery alarm clock, etc. They still travel with me.
