Great video and ship looks lovely, not keen on sun beds like sardines so lucky we are doing a fjord cruise; poor food issue comes up again!! Still as they say the proof is in the pudding so until we go and try ourselves will keep an open mind.
-
Thanks only on for 7 night fjord cruise, have to see when we get onboard then

Does anyone know if they do wine tasting sessions on Britannia?
-
Well I'm loving the look of Britannia whilst watching Ant n Dec, looking forward to sailing on her in June
-
Good tip, is that where the glasshouse is?
-
I'll report back on how the P&O cruise goes in June to the fjords, both will be different experiences as I am going with my sister on Discovery in October and the OH in June. My sister is very excited as first cruise and holiday for a few years

I'm trying Thomsons for the first time in October on Discovery. Main reason for this is that I have been on splendour of the seas as she was or is still until April, a RC ship. Also itinerary really appealed and fits in with work schedule. I'm looking forward to see what the refit is like but also read good things about entertainment on Thomsons ships, so looking forward to it. I have sailed on Celebrity and RC ships before. We are also trying P&O for the first time in June on Britannia but reading quite negative reviews on the food[emoji33]

Great blog, excited to be going onboard in June

Thanks everyone, I'm on deck 2 so assume I will be late boarding.. What deck/time do you have Cruise_lover? I'm going to book my parking this week so it's just for an idea of time to book car in, was going for about 1.30
-
Do you get an option as to what time you would like to board? I'm reading above about a 'set sail pass' - not sure if this is P&O or another line. Do we know how the boarding time is worked out, by deck, by grade of cabin etc? Thanks

Another great tip for afternoon tea. Thanks
-
Scones n jam in the buffet it is then. OBC on champagne to go with the afternoon tea in the buffet - thanks

Has anyone had afternoon tea in the Epicurean restaurant? What are your thoughts, worth doing?

Another lovely place to do from Livorno is Lucca - a lovely walled town. Again easy to get to via train from Pisa. Highly recommended. I'll be going there again myself in October.
-
So glad to hear that as we are really looking forward to our cruise in June, our first time with P&O.
-
Yikes!! First time for us on P&O and so many negative comments on the food, which after all is a massive part of a cruise holiday. I gather food is pre plated and served. Can you ask for a variety of extra vegetables as well with dinner. I love my veg but even I am not sure I could do 7 nights of green beans!!!
-
Just checked the CP and booming is now open!! Eric/Ern show; Darren Day; Jaki Graham in that order. Good feedback for all on the Facebook Britannia group but think will book Darren Day and if space available might book Jaki Graham onboard.
-
Oh dear!!! We go in June. Looks like our OBC might be spent on the speciality restaurants. Did u complain about the food. One thing I have learnt cruising with our American friends is that if it is not right send it back and complain.
-
I'm hoping she is onboard when we go on 18 June. By my reckoning bookings open up shortly for the Limelight
-
Anyone else having problems on accessing the CP today? I can on my iPhone but not iPad

We've been to Istanbul a couple of times and it's a magical place, such a shame all this terrorism is going on there as we love Turkey. You just have to be guided by advice given. Where in the world now is truly 100% safe. If the ship docks in Istanbul I certainly would get off the ship. I hope you get to see Istanbul

Does that apply to all P&O ships? Any of the surcharge restaurants open for lunch?
-
Never cruising on Thomson before, what is 'normal' dining arrangements please

Thank you
Booking Flam Railway in Advance

Just to warn u we were due to call in at flam in P&O in June but they changed to another port as too many ships in that day. Flam railway were very good and refunded the tickets I had purchased. I just emailed them and a week later received a refund
