Great customer service. People always share bad CS but it's always great to be on the receiving end of good CS. Our first time on P&O Britannia this coming June and looking forward to it.

How does embarkation work being allocated a boarding time - by surname, cabin number?
-
Thanks everyone, great answers and great tip to get 2 planners. All very useful info

I've sailed Celebrity and are doing our first P&O cruise in June and will be very happy if security is as good as Celebrity's. I am happy to have my passport/sea pass/bags checked every time off and on ship.
-
We are new to P&O and wondered if they leave every night in your cabin the news sheet for the next day's port of call/activities etc, like Celebrity do. If so, any photos to share. Thanks

Dominica is beautiful - I imagine how the Caribbean was 30 years ago! We did a great tour with Sheppy - look him up on tripadvisor - great tour and great person, so much fun. He even if we had time was going to drop my husband at the cricket ground as the West Indies were playing a test match but we ran out of time. Fav day of our cruise.

Hi I'm on the fjords cruise on 18 June and plan to take layers and dress for a British spring with hopefully with early summer weather when we sail. I've started a board on the roll call if anyone else going!!

We're on Britannnia in June and my husband has two left feet so that is nice to know!!

Great review and makes me look forward to our first cruise on P&O in June to the fjords.

I'm on Britannia- first time with P&O - on a Norway cruise in June. Am I reading right that there is no outside space to walk, are there no outside decks to walk? Also anyone know what restaurants have a great view/bed view as like the sound of dinner with scenery floating on by. Thanks

Hi, no question about it you can easily do Pisa via Livorno by train. I would highly recommend going to Lucca - u change at Pisa. The trains in Italy are very cheap and reliable. We always do our own trips. If you need more info happy to help.

How long in advance of your cruise do you know your embarkation time?
-
All booked - cabin no sofa/ prefer more floor space!
-
Just booked this cruise. Does anyone know exact timings for the ports - it just says 'arrive early morning, depart early evening' - thanks.

Great advice from you all. Need to definitely clarify the car park provider and if CPS then it's OBC/free car parking. If not I'll take all the money and book CPS which I have a quote from for £87.99 for the week. I knew my fellow CC would have the answers
-
I've been offered £120 pp OBC and free car parking/coach or £165 pp OBC. Never having cruised from Southampton I have no idea re car parking. Your thoughts please.

That's brilliant - thanks. I saw some fotos on a cruise website that had a large sofa opposite the bed and cabin looked a lot larger - I assume these may b some type of suite. At least seeing these I won't be disappointed. We normally cruise Celebrity but this itinerary/date fits in with us, although cabins seem a lot smaller but then I don't plan to b in there long.

Never cruised on P&O before and looking at a cruise on Britannia to the fjords. Can anyone tell me the difference of cabins with sofa and without sofa - is it as simple as it sounds or cabins with sofas larger/better layout. Thanks
-
Thanks for all your thoughts - that's what I love about CC!! We definitely want to see Yosemite as well so might be worth starting in San Fran and then looking at doing a cruise at the end in warmer waters!! Hubby wants to do the fjords as well but that is early summer.
-
Oh dear!!! Think I might be changing my mind about this cruise then!! It's just the ports sounded interesting and could combine a few days in Vancouver/San Fran before flying to Las Vegas - we are from London, UK
-
Thinking of doing this cruise and wonder what sort of sailing conditions to expect this time of year as we have only done Mediterranean/Caribbean cruises. Thanks

We used a U.S. TA 18 months ago and got a great deal price wise and perks but lo and behold when we got onboard no OBC was on our account or speciality dining offer, we tried contacting the agent numerous times by email and phone (Celebrity tried from GuestvRelations) but they never replied to us and never received the perks. Very annoying, more so because they would not respond to us. Won't put me off using another US agent but will take any offers with a pinch of salt and as long as price is good and the booking shows up on Celebrity I'll take it. Normally if it sounds too good to be true, it is!!!

Thanks for all your comments and just waiting to see what flight prices will be in a few weeks when they come out. Think we will take the plunge and book as this itinerary is lovely as we did it a couple of years ago. We want especially to go back to Dominica.

Does anyone have experience of sailing at Easter? Looking at 25 March sailing on Equinox and wondered if it would still be adult friendly and not overrun with 'little people'. Thanks

How do they allocate boarding times? Deck by deck; surname; how many previous cruises; type of cabin etc - thanks
