Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Doing the Island Princess on East coast run. Package booking. What are the specialty restaurants as we are given two free bookings. Drink package is given and see drinks up to $15 per drink. Is there a daily limit. Does that limit go against the Juice bar and coffee bar also. Have access to free fitness classes. Examples being what? Get premium desert. What is that? Does one get Medallion on check in. As Elite do we still get free laundry, high tea service and bar set up in room?
  2. Suggestions for day tours or highlights to see. Have done the last two ports before. Definitely need suggestions for the firsts two ports that we have never been to.
  3. What is the best way to receive or find promos codes. Always a good deal, but it seems I just stumble across them. Would like place to all that are active for River/Ocean/Expedition.
  4. Using Metro I see bus 442 crosses bridge, but stops short of proceeding down Roberts road. Is there another bus that does that?? Should one just do taxi and or Uber? Expected cost for that???
  5. On board presently. Just not going to be an issue. The lounge has very little participation , due from lengthy days of activities.
  6. We arrive at 11 am with the same statement that you could not check in until afternoon. We walked to front desk and ask for the first cleaned room. N/C. Unpacking by 11:30am
  7. On second day of Polaris Xmas run. So far in middle of Drake Passage and you don't even know you are on a ship. Food /service all up to Viking standards. Air, Hilton and transfers work like clockwork. Any questions ask away. Ate at Manfredis last night and food and service were great. Had lunch second day art World with lamb shanks, cordon blue. Korean b-cue and rice and vegetables. Maybe 20 people ate on this side and the line was 20 deep for Hamburgers, fries and rings on the other side.!!!!!
  8. New Rules For Americans Traveling To Brazil Mean You Shouldn’t Go by Gary Leff on December 8, 2023 Starting January 10, 2024 Brazil will require Americans, Canadians, and Australians to obtain a visa for entry to the country. The cost will be approximately $80 and allow multiple entry for 10 years (Canadians and Australians only get 5 years).
  9. On Polaris Dec 15th. If one brings self-stamped post cards, cam one mail back to themselves at post office stop.
  10. Does every stateroom have binoculars included. ....or do we bring our own.
  11. Wine /Beer included with lunch/dinner Bring all your favorite boozes and wine on board. No corkage. Have done Regent/Seabourn/Crystal. All great but just way more expensive than Viking.
  12. I'm a retired physician and have submitted three times with reply receipt. Never heard from them. I have printed and filled out the forms and just told quest services that I will have in hand when boarding.
  13. Do the Polaris and Octantis purposely cross paths in the archipelago.
