Are you driving from home in the rental car? You might do better to drive it to a local hotel/motel the night before, turn it in, then take the hotel shuttle to the port in the morning.
What are your plans post-cruise? What will be your transportation then?
We are flying in tomorrow, and going to Washington DC. The night before the cruise we are staying at the Lord Baltimore hotel. I will check to see if they have a shuttle. We are still deciding how to get back to the airport after the cruise. I am open to suggestions!

Is it better for my husband to drop me and the luggage off at the cruise port, then go return the rental car? He would then take a taxi or Uber and meet up with me. Or, is it better for us to both return the rental car then head to the cruise port together?
Is there even a place to sit and wait for him in the terminal? We've done this before in Miami, but we've never cruised out of Baltimore before. The rental car agency is Thrifty if that matters. They do not have a shuttle to the cruise port.

I agree. It's given me nothing but problems lately.

Sounds great! Do you remember how much the rental car cost you?

Thanks for your great review! Now I'm even more excited for our Grandeur cruise on July 5!

Yep, just got off the Sunshine yesterday, and they did have the new room service menus. They had some of the older stuff for free, plus the new offerings for a nominal fee.

I can't believe i didn't see this review earlier when you posted it. Very, very nice and detailed review. We are doing the same ship and venue in April, except we stop at Curacao first ... By reading your review ( 2x the past 4 days) I am sure you enjoyed it alot . The Italian restaurant you can just book on board ?? And i see you tried the Shake Spot a few times, We will as well. Did you try a spiked version ?? Also by looking at your pictures of all the food, and you guys not complaining of nothing really , the menus and food seems to be rather pretty good we presume .. I will definitely try a piece of that Cappuccino pie you posted, and we always liked the baked Alaska :)
I agree, his review is fantastic! However, I don't know if you know this, but starting with the March 5 cruise, the Sunshine will be getting the American Table menus. No Cappucino pie or baked Alaska for you!

I think I just read that the Alchemy bar is open from 5:00-11:00, so probably not. It's so worth the wait, though!

I'm really enjoying your review.. I would love to do a Journeys cruise sometime!
Great food pics by the way!

Wow! What a lot of work you put into this!

My deal breakers would probably be:
A steep decline in service
A large increase in prices with no more amenities to show for it
All restaurants having an extra fee
Other than that, I would have to say when I stopped having a good time. I can deal with pretty much anything else.

Your kids are adorable! I wish mine were still that small! 😊

Great start! We are on the Sunshine in 18 days so I am excited to read the rest!
-
Wow! Bonaire is now on my bucket list!
Did your sister get that breakfast pizza at the pizza place, or somewhere else?

Ironing? What is "ironing?" ;)
It's that thing my mother has guilted me into doing my entire life.

I really enjoyed your review! I appreciate your honest assessment of the Sunshine, too. We are on the Sunshine in 3 weeks, and hope we have as good a time as you did. 😀

I didn't know they were switching menus on the March 5 Sunshine! I was looking forward to the martini braised basa fillet on the old menus. Oh well, we had the new menus on the Liberty a couple years ago and never went hungry. I guess this cruise will be the same. It is disappointing though.
-
Beautiful photos! I don't know how you manage to get pictures where everyone looks good. I only have three kids and it is nearly impossible to get a picture where everyone looks good and no one is making a stupid face!
-
Great pictures of Aruba! I now feel much better about not having any plans there and just winging it. I think we'll just walk around like you did.

My friend peed on the craps table Spring Break 2 years ago...It was nuts, went to cruise jail shortly after
😳 I'm thinking that's where he/she belonged after that!

First time on the Sunshine.
First time leaving out of Port Canaveral, (unless you count the Big Red Boat 22 years ago!)
First time taking my daughter without a sibling or friend to hang with her. Her first time stuck with the "old people", as she says.
First time to Curaçao and Aruba.

What a great review so far! I would love to do a girl's cruise someday with my two daughters! It's so nice that all of you get along so well. 😀
I'm really looking forward to the rest of your review. We are on the Sunshine in 5 weeks, although it will be a different itinerary. Can't wait!
