On the daily menues, for 10 day cruise, D9 is not served andFeast 1 and 2 are served, look at the lower right hand of the menu, their a code.  D4 always served on the last day reguardless of journey

It's a little hard to follow the menus, but do you remember which day the Beef Wellington was served?  I want to make sure I don't book specialty dining that night.  Thank you!

And at that time, Carnival cruises were much more expensive in real dollars than they are today.

I don't know how far you were going back with "there was a time", but I know that I have been cruising on Carnival for over 15 years, and we are paying about the same amount for cruises as we did back then - and inflation has increased by almost 50% in that time.

I remember going to a presentation by a travel agent in the early 1990's about cruising. He said that base fares  ran $100 per day per person.  That's about what I pay now - 30 years later.

So yes, for a cruise that costs far less than it used to back in the day, I am not expecting the same service that I received back in the day.

I recently came across my receipt from our honeymoon cruise in 1985.  We paid $1100 for 2 people in an inside stateroom on the Festivale.  Deck 1 no less!  I think it is safe to say that cruises are a bargain now compared to back then.

Carnival carries distilled water which can be purchased either pre-cruise if you are sailing from a US port, or once on board. For pre-purchase, please contact our Fun Shops department at 1-800-522-7648 ext. 70039, Monday-Sunday from 9:00am-9:00pm ET. For purchase on board, please contact Room Service. Should you wish to bring your own distilled water with you, it must be hand-carried along with your CPAP machine.

    Perfect! Thank you!

Camp closed at 3pm, so we picked up Ian and took him back to the cabin for a nap.  The starboard side of the ship is in the shade in the afternoon sailing north on the last 2 sea days, so I needed a jacket to sit out on the balcony while Ian napped.

Ian woke up from his nap at 5pm, so we all got ready for the second formal night.  I tried to get a photo of the 3 of us together, but of course a little someone wouldn’t cooperate.  At least Jason and I got a nice photo of the two of us!

And I was able to sneak this photo of Ian in the elevator going down to dinner.

    Tonight’s dinner menu:

I ordered the calamari and the beef carpaccio for my appetizers.

Of course, I ordered the lobster tail for my entree.  I probably should have ordered 2 of them… I forgot how small they are!

Wow, I hope you were able to finish that huge portion of broccoli they gave you! 🤣

We ordered an extra appetizer, 1 extra for the 2 of us, not 1 extra each.  The Tiramisu is absolutely not the same as MDR. It looks just like the picture at the entrance and way too pretty to eat.

That looks amazing! So much better than the MDR version of Tiramisu.

Delivery of checked on bass is weird. Sometimes mine arrived but not my husband's or his arrive & not mine. Sometimes is doesn't arrive until 5. We are platinum.

I can never understand this.  My husband and I drop our bags off together, they go in the same cart together, and yet his are always delivered hours before mine. Go figure.
