  1. We got off the Breakaway on Feb. 7th and used one of our SDP credits at Ocean Blu with the $12 upcharge per person.

We had shrimp cocktail and the surf and turf (filet & Maine lobster tail) and paid nothing additional. We were celebrating a birthday and the food and service could not have been better. By far the best meal we had the entire cruise.

Maybe it varies from ship to ship.

Already tried online. All of the Specialty restaurants are booked. Someone said only 30% are offered for online booking. Those crab legs were only appetizers? Any entr'es with them?

    Try changing your party size.

    Worked for us.

We will adjust the party size when we get on the ship.

  3. According to NCL website, the Bali Hai does have hamburgers. I cannot wait to sail on Gem in 64 days!

Bali Hai does have a grill but last few cruises on her it never opened. Topsiders outside grill / buffet is real close, down the stairs on the other side of the pool.

  4. We always attend the M&G. We've made some great friends (you know who you are) thru this site :D

My best advice is to not sit down. I never do.

A slot pull after the M&G also extends it kinda and gives you time to chat with people while cheering on your own money ;)

I also love a cabin crawl later in the week to catch up with CCers we may not run into a lot during the week.

  5. On the Breakaway in Dec we were celebrating a very special occasion We treated our group of 9, all close family, to LeBistro ($225+) and had a terrific meal and time.

I would never consider this under this new pricing as not knowing the final cost or making the other family members feel the need to order less knowing we were footing the bill would totally change the dynamic. As it was 2 members ordered the $10 lobster tail and I was fine with that but trying to watch the final bill I wouldn't order one for myself

  6. I doubt VERY much, however, that it'll happen on an inaugural voyage; as previous posters have stated they usually sell out.

Good luck & have a great cruise!

From what I've read here on CC (never done an inaugural) they have in the past sailed these TAs way under maximum capacity to help the crew get used to the ship, work out any kinks and finish any thing unfinished. Again just going by what I have read here on CC.
