We are only 2 to start with. 🙂 Seems like a good number for Valentine's Day.
Sorry, I meant reserve for 4, or what ever you can and then cancel the extras when you get on the ship.

Already tried online. All of the Specialty restaurants are booked. Someone said only 30% are offered for online booking. Those crab legs were only appetizers? Any entr'es with them?
Try changing your party size.
Worked for us.
We will adjust the party size when we get on the ship.

Are you looking for Fire and Ice? I think some CCers here follow them on Facebook or Instagram. They are awesome but I have not read of them on these boards lately.
-
Good idea, but could be slightly creepy, especially if it's a woman.
If you tell them why you want the picture, positive recognition, believe me they don't find it creepy.
-
A trick I learned from a fellow CCer long ago, thanks Peg :), was to take a picture of the crew members name badge. This makes it so easy to fill out Style/ Vacation Hero cards at the end of the cruise.

Have no problem with this, would never remove the DSC anyway.

Do you get an early tender ticket if you have already purchased a cabana ?
Yes

I was told by a member of ShorEx staff that the food area at the lagoon is only open when the Breakaway calls at GSC, has this changed?
We were told this on a previous cruises also but this past May at GSC on the Gem the lagoon buffet was open.

According to NCL website, the Bali Hai does have hamburgers. I cannot wait to sail on Gem in 64 days!
Bali Hai does have a grill but last few cruises on her it never opened. Topsiders outside grill / buffet is real close, down the stairs on the other side of the pool.

I do think that the first sea day is the default time on most cruises.
In our experience the default is 11am the first sea day.

We always attend the M&G. We've made some great friends (you know who you are) thru this site :D
My best advice is to not sit down. I never do.
A slot pull after the M&G also extends it kinda and gives you time to chat with people while cheering on your own money ;)
I also love a cabin crawl later in the week to catch up with CCers we may not run into a lot during the week.

I cruised Disney last year and not one change was made after I purchased my cruise.
We could say this about many many NCL cruises.
Sucks but changes do happen.

Probably a stupid question but I have the Spirit booked out of PC Dec. 2016, if I choose the Epic where does it sail out of?:confused:Barcelona.
From the OPs original post:
- Option 1: Select any of Norwegian Epic's 7-Day Caribbean sailings from 12 November 2016 to 25 March 2017 and your cruise fare will be protected.
-
Looks like the Spirit is going to Asia and or Australia. Surprised the Epic is returning to the Caribbean.
They are giving 16 months notice so plenty of time to make a new plan ;)
-
Congrats to all getting an extended trip and happy :D

Wow, I'd be pissed! I would have already bought my airline tickets!
Why would you fly from NJ to NYC?
-
Is that the one that is by the smaller cabanas?
Yes

I was under the impression the lagoon buffet was only open for the larger ships too but in May 2015 was open for us on our Gem cruise.

I don't expect the quality to suddenly leap upwards, nor do I expect service to become somehow better; so it is just paying more for less.
Totally agree!

On the Breakaway in Dec we were celebrating a very special occasion We treated our group of 9, all close family, to LeBistro ($225+) and had a terrific meal and time.
I would never consider this under this new pricing as not knowing the final cost or making the other family members feel the need to order less knowing we were footing the bill would totally change the dynamic. As it was 2 members ordered the $10 lobster tail and I was fine with that but trying to watch the final bill I wouldn't order one for myself

I doubt VERY much, however, that it'll happen on an inaugural voyage; as previous posters have stated they usually sell out.
Good luck & have a great cruise!
Tom
From what I've read here on CC (never done an inaugural) they have in the past sailed these TAs way under maximum capacity to help the crew get used to the ship, work out any kinks and finish any thing unfinished. Again just going by what I have read here on CC.

We are 11 for 13 at making GSC so I think they make it there more often than one might think after reading this NCL board. The 2 times we missed we just had a sea day and got no credit of any kind. They did reprint the Freestyle Daily and promoted it was available at Guest Services.

Why isn't there an all Everything Escape forum yet?
Ocean Blue and UDP

We got off the Breakaway on Feb. 7th and used one of our SDP credits at Ocean Blu with the $12 upcharge per person.
We had shrimp cocktail and the surf and turf (filet & Maine lobster tail) and paid nothing additional. We were celebrating a birthday and the food and service could not have been better. By far the best meal we had the entire cruise.
Maybe it varies from ship to ship.
