We have just planned a last minute cruise and haven’t been to Caribbean in 15 years except to St. Martin. Many of the islands we are visiting were affected last year from hurricanes and I’m having a bit of trouble finding out current conditions. We are in our early 60’s and love the water so beach days and half day sails are great for us with a little shopping thrown in. We’ve been to most of the islands we are visiting so no need for an island tour.

If anyone had a favorite excursion, beach or tour I’d love to know.

St. Thomas - all set

St. Croix - beach day or Buck Island ... which would be most relaxing

Thanks so much for your help. I checked and our first night is at 6:00 p.m [emoji33]. Also was told for rest of cruise only specialty is available at 6:00 p.m. My husband is going to kill me but I’m confident I can change once on board. We booked this cruise 40 days out so just happy to be on a ship. I’ll let the small details work themselves out. He’s usually in the hot tub at 6:00 [emoji4]

I made select dining reservation and picked all my dates/times and just booked a dining package. I tried to change my reservations and it is charging me again night by night. Does anyone know how this is done. I called Celebrity and was told no one could make specialty reservations until they are on the cruise. I know for a fact that’s not true. Ideas?

Does anyone know the ease of getting from the Miami port to FLL. We rather not transfer with Celebrity. Are cabs or vans plentiful or should I make a reservation with a private company. Since we don’t know when we’ll be getting of the ship that could cause some timing issues. Thanks for your assistance.

I’ve looked and haven’t been able to find anything recently on this. We will not be getting a drink package and thought it would be nice for my husband to have a bottle of bourbon in the room for a drink while getting dressed ... I know too much information!

While my husband and I like to dress up for chic nights what others wear does not make a difference to me. What does matter is that people are kind and enjoying themselves. I much rather spend time with a nice young couple that isn’t compiling what you think is appropriate dress than the loud drunk boar in a Tuxedo. We’ve been through many of life’s challenges lately and just excited to be on a cruise.

Is there any place I can find out what dress recommendations are for each night on the Equinox on September 3. We are trying to decide what nights to make speciality dining reservations. I meant chic dress instead of formal. Opps, forgive me!

Today a spent over an hour with a supervisor on the phone regarding our booking. She was very helpful and patient. I would like to write an email to praise her great customer service. Does anyone know the best place or people I should email. I've been frustrated before with the folks on the phone and she was amazing. Thank you.

We were wondering if you get to tickets for your drinks between 5-7 or are they added to your pass? Have you been able to go to any bar or just the designated bar? Any advice would be appreciated.

About 20 years ago we lived next to a very nice couple but didn’t spend much time socializing. One day we ran into them outside and mentioned we are going on a cruise the next week. They replied “so are we.” We said “we are going out of Baltimore” ... you guessed it we were on the same cruise. Had some very enjoyable times with them. Shortly after that they moved and we lost touch. I do remember them fondly.

For those who offered information thank you so much. And, yes I know I could spend time looking through all the posts but was excited because we just booked our first Princess cruise. If I offended you I'm sorry but never imagined someone would take the time to write a snippy response. In fact my husband just asked if we were making a mistake with cruising with Princess if this is the an example of Princess cruisers. That's not what we had understand from friends but certainly makes me wonder.

We are loyal Celebrity cruisers and I know all the ins and outs. Today we decided to take a last minute cruise on the Caribbean Princess in September. I have some questions and know that someone can guide me.

Are you allowed to bring a bottle or two of wine aboard?

Are you allowed to bring soda/water aboard?

Are there specialty dining packages available?

How much are the specialty dining restaurants generally.

If you have anything you feel we should know about Princess we’d love to hear your tips.

We have to cancel our Transatlantic in October due to medical appointments and want to book the Equinox for September 14. Right now there are two baloney cabins which aren’t great. Does anyone have an idea what the likelihood of a concierge or better balcony coming up in the next week or so. Have all of the travel agencies released their inventory by now. Any help would be appreciated.
