  1. Hi, could a well experienced Oceania traveller offer advice on the following. We are staying in a B1 on Riviera on an UK round trip and a kettle cannot be provided due to safety issues. The practical implications of this are multiple trips to Baristas to obtain boiling water, an essential ingredient for my frequent tea fix. As all the other lines I’ve travelled on have kettles eg Viking - by request, this has put Oceania at a disadvantage for my future cruise shortlists - however as I have enjoyed much of the rest of what is on offer, I wondered whether the suites on Riviera may offer a kettle, or perhaps the balconies on Vista? Many thanks for any advice.
  2. Hi All, both CPS and Azure were fully booked, so I started to look at other options. I settled on the Ibis at West Quay - booked through the Accor site it included the night before stay, and up to 8 nights parking for £80.00. Just need to pay for the taxi for a short distance on top. I could only find this by typing in Ibis and cruise and stay and park,. Hope this helps others.
  3. We found the dining and wine service to be variable throughout our recent Saga cruise, it was our only real disappointment. We felt it was down to waiters covering too many tables at once, and members of staff who were new and hadn’t had the chance to learn the ropes. We discussed this with the guest relations officer who arranged for us to meet with the restaurant manager. We were able to alleviate the situation by arriving at 6;30 each night and having a fixed table in an area which normally filled up about half an hour later so we were ahead of the crowd. I’m hoping to see posters record improvement in this area before we cruise with Saga again. Just one point to balance this though- the room service was absolutely fantastic, as was the poolside and terrace service- so if they can get the dining room sorted in the same way we will be delighted.
  4. Hi, just to be aware - even though it isn’t on the list, it is possible to buy champagne by the glass - I was caught out on this - in a nice way - as I thought I needed to buy by the bottle
  5. Hi Jammy Bun, I’m now booked on 15 Feb Canaries on Adventure, is that the one you are going on as well?
  6. Hi, I have pre-registered for summer 2024 and was advised I would be contacted in March 23.
  7. Hi Jammy Bun and Glendale, I think our paths have crossed on Viking, nice to hear from you. As a non flyer I’ve been waiting to see if Viking start ex uk sailings, but in the meantime have tried Cunard Grills which was great, and have just booked a last minute Saga one as well. Maybe see you on board?
  8. Thanks ARDXXX - just what I needed. Very reasonable pricing. Have you noticed a Whispering Angel rose?
  9. Hello, I understand that it’s only premium spirits that are included for 2023, I wondered if someone could post a price list for the premium white and rose wines? Or just quote a couple of samples? Thankyou
  10. Hi Lady L, we will be boarding QV on Sunday, and it’s been really helpful reading your comments. I think we may run into some bouncy weather and would like to check if you can still get the miracle anti sea sickness injections from the medical centre? No worries if it’s not something you’ve come across though. Hope you have a safe journey back home from Southampton.
  11. Hi Lady L, if you get the chance I wonder if you could check if they have Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel on board - it has been tricky to get on my last two non Cunard cruises so I was thinking of bringing a bottle with me if not? Many Thanks
  12. Oh what a perfect picture - I am looking at a Queen Anne sailing to Canaries in Nov or Dec 2024, rather than Iberia, this photo really encourages me to book.
  13. Hi, we are also on 11 Dec sailing. What time would you recommend us arranging our car meet and great service. Our ticket say 12:30 Boarding. We are in QG? Thankyou
