  1. Thank you so much for this thorough review. We board Icon on 6/1 and reading this is amping up my excitement!
  2. I believe the terminal is fairly new and the garage is owned by RCI, so they set the pricing. Good idea to post on the RCI board, I will try them as well.
  3. I was just checking parking rates for my June Icon of the Seas cruise, and was shocked at how expensive parking garage A (dedicated Royal Caribbean garage) is! For one week the rate is $245, while all other garages and lots are $145. I was considering parking in garage B instead. Has anyone else done this? How far is the walk from the next closest parking lot/garage to the Royal Caribbean terminal? Is it worth $100 to park closer? My husband and I are in our 40's, both in good health, and have no issues with physical activity, but it will be June and extremely hot outside, so we wouldn't want to do a 15-20 minute walk. Any insight is appreciated!

  5. We will be on Icon with a large group and several different cabins. My nephew is booked in our cabin, but will be arriving at the port and checking in at a later time than us with his parents. Will this be an issue?
  6. We're booked for this September. Really hoping they release more details about the train dinner soon. There is nothing in the cruise planner.
  7. Do you have to make reservations to take advantage of the to go option? DId you try just walking up without a reservation and asking for something to go?
  8. Did you not like the cabin specifically because of the shutter? Or were there other things that made this cabin less desirable than the ones on Symphony? (I've managed to figure out that 12591, 11597, and 11593 are not obstructed by the shutters)
  9. Has anyone been able to figure out which Central Park cabins on Icon of the Seas are not obstructed by the shutters? I've been able to work out a few from photos, but not all decks. I'm looking to switch into one of these cabins and would really like to avoid the shutters. Thanks!
  10. Yes! Totally agree! I actually left this feedback on my last post-cruise survey. Also dislike when they change the time back on the last night of the cruise so you end up losing an hour on the last night.
  11. Ricky was the cruise director on our July 2023 cruise on the Wonder, and the seeing him dance at the 70's party was a highlight. He really went all out. I've never seen another cruise director actually become part of the show. We loved him.
  12. I noticed in another thread you mentioned that you did the Art and Architecture tour. Did you like it? Was it worth the money? We are considering it on our cruise on the Ascent next week. It shows up on days 6 and 7 on the itinerary, but will only allow us to book day 7. DId they offer it multiple days on your cruise?
  13. We experienced this over the summer when we booked multiple cabins on Icon while onboard the Wonder. It was cheaper for us to book a cabin with 3-4 people than it was for 2. We ended up spreading the kids around the cabins to reduce cost.
  14. No, thanks for the heads up! Maybe I can talk my husband into wearing ear plugs to bed lol.
  15. Oh boy. Starting to having second thoughts about my cabin choice... I sleep with ear plugs in so it's not an issue for me, but my husband doesn't.
  16. Thanks, I didn't realize there are two doors. That makes me less concerned about it.
  17. I just booked a cabin on Treasure, and chose a connecting cabin because of the location on the hump with a bigger balcony, as well as a larger stateroom. Are these cabins noisier than non-connecting cabins? Will I be able to hear my neighbors?
  18. I would jump on that deal. The Prima class ship Haven is very comparable to Retreat, in fact I think the Haven cabins are a bit of a step up in design. The only difference between the two is that the menu in the Haven restaurant is the same every night, whereas the Haven menu changes daily. However, I believe unlimited dining package is included with the Haven, so you'll be able to dine at specialty restaurants each night. I definitely do not consider NCL on the same level as Carnival. It does have some of the gimmicky bells and whistles like race car track, but the food is excellent and shows are great. Just sailed Prima last December and it is now one of my favorite ships, tied with Edge-class. NCL deposits are refundable, so really no risk in booking.
  19. I've just booked a 4 night sailing on the Equinox in an aft-facing Sunset Sky Suite, but I'm conflicted about my cabin choice. There are several corner suites available, but only 3 of the standard aft-facing balconies. For those who have stayed in either of these, what are the pros and cons to corner vs. standard, and which would you prefer?
  20. Eden is a great space with great drinks and food, and the shows are impressive. Also a nice place to hang out during the day to sit and look at the ocean, read, play cards, etc. World Class bar has the best cocktails on the ship. Have drinks on the magic carpet when it's on deck 5. The water is feet away, and you'll feel the ocean breeze. I thought the theatre shows were the best I've seen at sea.
  21. For our cruise on the Ascent in February 2024 I would like to purchase a dining package, but the only option available is for 3 nights. Do they put a limit on how many 4 and 5 night packages they sell?
  22. We have been assigned a 12:00 boarding time for this Sunday's Wonder of the Seas out of Port Canaveral and just received an email stating that those who arrive before their boarding time will be turned away. I've never followed my boarding time in the past and typically arrive pretty early to the port, but I haven't cruised Royal since pre-COVID. I have seen in recent posts that cruises on the Wonder have started boarding fairly early (10:30). Can recent cruisers out of Port Canaveral confirm that we won't be turned away if we show up early? Thank you.
  23. So if it says the shows are full should I assume that they are and try to book onboard? Or does it say full until they actually open the reservations?
  24. I am sailing on Wonder of the Seas on July 30th, and I was surprised to find when I logged in today that all but one of the shows says sold out. I was under the impression that show reservations don't open up until 30 days before sailing. Should I expect reservations to open at the end of the month, or are the shows actually already full?
  25. We recently redeemed Celebrity credit card points towards a cruise fair. I understand from the terms and conditions that if you cancel the cruise you lose the points, but has anyone tried to transfer their redemption certificate to a different cruise? We would like to move to a different itinerary.
