  1. I've seen posts where people bring their own sheets, hammocks, a folding table for their balcony, fans, blenders, mattresses and their own toilet tissue (even though you are asked not to put anything other than their toilet tissue in the toilet). If I have to bring all that, I'm just going to stay home. Through the years, we have discovered the joys of traveling lighter and lighter. We are going on a 4-day cruise in December with a carry on each and for a 7-nighter in June. If I run out of anything I either send a few things to be laundered or I buy it at a port.

...............Oh, the good old days of traveling with steamer trunks....they really did hold a lot of crap.......

  2. I used to work in the building next to the Black Falcon terminal a few years ago. Also I have sailed out of Boston two other times, and both times was not impressed with the facility. I wish there were more cruises out of Boston.

Small world.....my father took his oath to enter the Navy in WWII at the Fargo building down the street in South Boston 1943. We traveled there a couple years ago and the big Dig brought a lot of nice restaurants on Northern Avenue.:)

  3. FYI one of the crew we spoke with at a meet the entertainers session said that outside of normal job requirements you have to have 2.5 "bars" in order to be allowed in the passenger areas, but still have to be wearing uniform and name tag.

...........I wonder how that rule applies on the Disney ships?......I've never seen Goofy with a name tag on......he's kinda' recognizable right away.....;)

  4. How old are you O.P.? You have never learned nothing is "FREE".....one way or another it is paid for......In the U.S, you can purchase your own pepper grinder in the spice dept. of most major food stores. McCormick has a nifty little FRESH pepper grinder on the shelves. Grind to your little hearts content.

  5. Last week on The Adventure the waiter pulled a small pepper grinder out of his pocket and asked if we wanted pepper with each dish.

9 Cruises and never remember seeing a pepper grinder on the table, the waiter always had it.

............"Hey....is that a pepper grinder in your pocket or you just ----- -- --- --." you all know the joke......:D

  6. They are NOT to frat with the guests. He went over the line with you.

    A. Yes he's on probation with more work hours and may have had his internet suspended.

    B. He may have been relieved of his duties.

    C. He was just playing you, but at a cost to himself.

What ship was this? This relationship is going nowhere.

None of that is possibly true....I watched plenty of "Love Boat" programs and none of those characters EVER got in trouble....Captain Stuebing was very understanding....no worries......
