  1. I hope this person doesn't mind me sharing their link...

The description on the first photo is what I was referring to. It did seem strange but then these are the photos of someone who has stayed in that suite (I'm unable to / can't afford to speak from experience) :D

Yes there are stairs there. They do not lead to the dining room, even tho they appear to. They are stairs used by maintenance only. Not accessible to guests.

  2. We were in the Penthouse on Millennium 2x now and the one bad thing is you will never want to go back to another room again. We now try to book the PH whenever it is available. It is an incredible adventure. It is like having your own apartment on the ship. It is beautiful. We traveled with family members and friends in other rooms and we agree Nelson is the very best. He served breakfast in the room for us and our 6 guests every morning. We had wine and cheese every evening before dinner. The balcony is half of the back of the ship on level 6 and will give you great views.

Aside from what you get on the ship, there are no other perks, except early tender tickets, if you tender.

Again, beware, you will never want to go back to any other room on the ship again. The penthouse on the M class ships is awesome

Please do enjoy your cruise !!!

  3. we have been a Penthouse twice. We have never asked the butler to pack or unpack. Just too personal. We used him mostly to serve breakfast in our room for us and our friends who would order with us the night before and join us in the morning. Sometimes some cheese and fruit before dinner. Nothing else really special. We are pretty self sufficient

  4. Thanks for your review. My partner and I were on the same sailing with two very good friends. We got to eat dinner in Blu which was fantastic. So sorry you had such bad luck with your butler and room service It is definately up to Celebrity standards. Maybe someday we will run into you on a cruise. Hope the snow is not as bad as the news reports

  5. Need to correct one item, the cabin number was 7025 not 725 as originally reported.

I do not have bed bugs in my home, and this has been recently confirmed by an exterminator visit.

The only place that I have stayed that has admitted bed bugs is the Azamara Journey.

The number of bites that I have is consistent with a full infestation (over 100). A full infestation typically takes at least 7 days due to the bed bugs mating and birth cycle. Therefore, as we were informed of this four days into the cruise, it would be impossible for us to have brought them onboard with us.

It is also quite typical for reactions to be delayed up to 2 weeks, I first noticed the bites appearing on the Thursday after the cruise., which would be 10 full days from the "treatment" that Azamara applied.

Here is a link to an article that describes delayed reactions if anyone is interested:

I hope that it answers everyone's questions.

Thank you for the further information. Very distressing. I am glad they did not travel home with you !!! Sorry to hear this news.

  6. OP can you clear up a few things for me? I am a little confused

You say you were in room 725, as far as I know the ships room numbers are 4 digits not three. So what room was it?

You say you were showing no signs of bites when you were informed of the infestation in your room, but two weeks later you were covered in bites? How long was the cruise? Did you extend your stay in Stockholm-maybe you picked them up there? It seems that we are missing a few details in order to comment on your post.

Also as this is your first post, how did you find your way here AFTER your cruise?

    :confused::rolleyes::confused::rolleyes:

Those are very very good questions. I do not understand how these bites showed up two weeks after the cruise. I would like the answers to the questions posted before I can pass judgement, either way.....

  7. We always pick Aqua Class as we love to eat in Blu. Our good friends and family just stayed in the AQ rooms up on 11 on the newly Solsticed Millennium and really liked those rooms. We usually airm for mid ship so we do not get seasick, but had rooms aft on our last two cruises in the Penthouse on Millennium and never had a motion issue. So, I would have to say Aqua Class on 11 would be our choice

  8. All the comments are so interesting. I can't wait to board the Journey on the 26th of this month and see for myself

We have never done O so I really can't make any comparison. However I can say we have always been lown away by Azamara. We love Celebrity, the service and food, etc. however Azamara does go one step beyond. It is like coming home every time we board. It is amazing to us that the crew remembers us by name from one cruise to another, ot matter how far apart. They ALL go that extra step to ensure that all onthe guests have a incredible experience.

All of the stories above ring true. The Captain and all down do their best to ensure that each and every guest receive first class service. For this reason, we will probably never try O or any other line. We are loyal to Azamara and Celebrity !!!!!

  9. Is is really about the type of cruise it is. All excursions are included. All tips are included. They made it a painless, cashless trip so everyone could concentrate on enjoying the cruise and the fabulous places they were going to see and experience. It made for a great trip, never worrying about what anything cost. We were able to take all of the excursions, did no thave to pick and chose. I do not think that the additional cost of the drinks to Celebrity were enough to have to charge passengers fo rthem separately. Just my thoughts on a great trip
