@constable145 How do you find out which sailings offer police discount? My husband is retired law enforcement, would this apply?

I have no idea if retired people are eligible.

To find out what sailings have a discount click the option when for police/ fire discounts before you select your room category and compare the prices...

    Or

Get a travel agent to do the work for you.

Johnny Rockets shakes, not Ben and Jerry.

Not that I would avoid JR shakes, they are very good as well.

We got shakes from Ben and Jerry's once.

We went back the next day and were told it was a mistake.

I spoke to the loyalty ambassador who apologized for the confusion and said it was due to the franchise agreement they have with Ben and Jerry's.

Who is the cruise director?  Is this person good?  I like when they have a sense of humor,  and you see them around the ship.

I believe her name is Katy. I've seen her around the ship but haven't been to any shows yet that she's hosted.

I've had good cruise directors (Richard Spacey) and bad ones who bragged about themselves (Ken Rush) and had amazing trips on both, so I'm probably the wrong person to weigh in on a CD.

Anything I should know?  Sail sept 25th,  Thanks

    Abide by your boarding time.

Gone are the days when it was pretty good much first to arrive, first to board.

If you dislike smoke you'll dislike the casino and frankly much of the Schooner bar.

Viking Crown Lounge is now a fraction of the size from when I sailed on this type of ship last but I never saw anyone use it before and I don't see many people use it now.

What normal things are not available/working? I know she is due for a refurb, plus supply chain issues. We board in just under 2 weeks.

There's a bit of a wear and tear, but that's to be expected.

Overall the ship is in good condition.

I've got an aft facing suite. In the one bedroom there's some vibration.

I can't comment on supply chain issues because I haven't been told no to any thing I've asked for.

There's no Kleenex in stateroom bathrooms - maybe that's why?

    Hi All,

Cruising next year (Oct) on Wonder of th Seas in Star Class Suite.  Have cruised RCL Suites before in Sky class but not Star Class.  Specialty dining is included with Star Class suites. I plan making Chef's Table reservations shortly to get the date & time I want and will have our Genie reimbuse me for cost I layed out (less the wine fee).  I don't mind laying out the cost for this as the Chefs Table availability is very limited and it will only be the adults in our party.

I would also like to make advance speciality dining reservations (for our full party) for each day.  Not looking to layout additional funds given that it is included in my cabin price.  I just called RCL customer service and stumped the repsentative.  The response was you book the reservations on board.    Any suggestions on who to call or email?  Thanks much

If you want to ensure you get the time you want, book it and the genie will refund your payment.

I've never had a problem with waiting until the genie contacted me. They made the reservation for my entire party, Star Class or not.

One of the Genie's magical abilities is to find empty tables in full restaurants.

Everything else is just discounts, such as 50% of milkshakes (but you can get them free with your vouchers), 50% of Ben and Jerry's, buy one get one free movie rental, and either $5 back after spending $15 at the arcade or $25 after spending $50.

On longer cruises, we take advantage of the arcade benefit, but otherwise the internet and drinks are all that we generally use from the kids.

Hold on- I can use my diamond voucher to get a free milkshake from Ben and Jerry's?????

    This changes things.

Well, that is good news for the local crowd.  Might not help on a cruise, but I was really disappointed to hear about the Amazon Prime deal for Thursday Night Football. What's next...Hulu for Monday Night Football?  Paramount + for wild card games?  Bad trend IMHO.

    Get used to it.

Streaming is the way of the future. It wasn't all that long ago the NFL required all of their playoff games to be on over-the-air TV.

Now, ESPN has a slice of the playoff pie.

One thing to consider is that the international broadcast rights are completely separate from the American rights.
That is why you don't see the great commercials and get a completely different announcer crew if you happen to watch The Super Bowl on a ship than you would at home.

There should be a separate line for suites when getting back on the ship in ports....just walk up to the suite line & show your card.

    On what ship?

I've sailed in suites on both Oasis and Quantum classes. Not once have I seen/used a separate line to get back on board.

Depending on the ship and port, the concierge can help you get off the ship quicker, but not back on.
