We were on Jewel, Canada/NE in October.
Our OV cabin was deck 3, close to mid ships. Noise was not a problem. Our cabin had the porthole at the head of the bed so not the easiest to see out. Also it seemed cold air from it spilled down on my head at night.
That’s all I can think of for now 😎

Does Papeete still have food trucks close to cruise dock?

1. Voyager
2. Freedom
2. Radiance
3. Vision
Never been on any of the others.

Any pics of the albatross monument on Cape Horn?

Anyone know ship's Lat/Lon ?
AIS stuff two days old & out of range anyway.

I must’ve been confusing it with something else. There was one by a guy in Quebec who got too busy with his day job and couldn’t keep up so it faded away.

@firefly333 Glad to hear the B2B2B is going well! . 😁
Not sure if you saw my other post. It's by no means an amazing deal, but my March 2024 Wonder cruise is at the lowest starting price it has ever been... lower than when it was released according to the fruit site that tracks prices.
So when did that site come back ? Thought it had gone away! -
My beef for years. Hopefully the arrival of some more competition may spur RCL into using some imagination and offering a few > 7dys.
MSC wants to build a terminal on Pelican Island but that will be a longer term project.

You pretty much described my experience on the 16 day Radiance Panama Canal cruise a few weeks ago.
We were on the same trip (Oct 7).I wasn’t expecting much, based on reviews so we were pleasantly surprised overall. Portions have shrunk, particularly desserts, but that isn’t such a bad thing 😲

If still in Anchorage strongly suggest Phillips 26 Glacier cruise out of Whittier, they have option to go out of Anchorage or you can drive or take a train.

Can a ship of this size be fully and properly stocked with a week of provisions in the small town of Seward? I always assumed for these North/South sailings that the ship received mostly everything it needed for 2+ weeks while in Vancouver.
Fly it in then train/truck it down from Anchorage as needed ?

I gather these pods on Radiance are too small for anyone to climb into etc. So what lengthy work can be done on the parts accessible from inside the ship if the ship is not in a dry dock?

Just got an Email from Royal Caribbean. They're planning on sailing 09-08 as scheduled.
Repairs are underway!!
It would be interesting to know just what the problem was. -
If you're doing a one-way to Whittier, disembark and allow time for this :

Worth every penny 🙂

We’ll be on RCL Radiance mid October, so looking for suggestions for Fuerte Amador. Can you just get off the ship or is it a commercial dock with restrictions?
Thanks

I’ll take a friendly bartender’s measure any time over a precise bionic offering 🙂

Is the martini tasting only vodka ?

Maybe, but you have to use shuttles. We were on Bliss in June last year and after Sitka had enough of enormous lines for buses.
-
Ward Cove?
So Sun doesn’t dock in Ketchikan itself?
-
If you cruise, don’t do it on mega ship. They’re too big for the regular docks so special berths have been created out of town (Sitka, Ketchikan) with the joy of shuttle buses!
We did it on NCL Bliss last year, ship was fun, just too big.
In 2010 we did it on Celebrity Millennium, equivalent to Royal’s Radiance class, which was an excellent fit all around.

Not a polka party. Maybe 2 step line dance. .. polka is not Texan lol.
There’re many, many folks in central Texas who will strongly disagree about polka!!I worked with one for years🙂

Someone said Capt Slaby would be on Radiance’s Oct 7 Canal sailing so was just looking. . .

How long is each rotation?

Agreed. Having said that, the ships are/were incredibly innovative and introduced the Royal promenade ,
IIRC that was introduced on Voyager class and was a true innovation and an engineering marvel at the time.
Voyager & Freedom classes are our favourite with Radiance class not far behind😃
Napali Coast no longer part of Kaui's scene visit for NCL's Pride of America weekly cruise ... Mahola from Beat of Hawaii
in Norwegian Cruise Line

Too bad the NaPali drive-by is gone, I wonder why?
on land trips we’ve done a sunset cruise from Port Ele ele twice, some years apart, both times with https://www.holoholokauaiboattours.com/kauai-boat-tours/napali-sunset-sightsee-tour/
You leave port about 2 or 3pm and return at dusk.
