I should have said, when I said "guarantee" that I meant folks that haven't been assigned a cabin yet (with 5 days to sailing). It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out! ETA I see that this happened in June and the guarantee folks did get on board...the offers they make can be incredible! Lesson learned, sorry for the fake news, folks. 🙂

Sorry to offend, I don't have a source. I'm basing this on how other cruise lines have done this. But you're right, they'll do absolutely everything they can to avoid an involuntary cancellation!

I got the same email. I also received one from Princess in June for our Alaska cruise. The cruise is oversold and if they don't get people to take the offer, they'll have to "bump" the guarantee cabin folks. However, it's a sweet deal for those who aren't in education, so I'll bet they'll get takers!

I promised I did my best to search this question on the boards before asking, but I didn't see any response that would be helpful in my case. I see that restaurant reservations are now available online and I'd love to make a reservation for my parents' 50th anniversary dinner celebration. However, there are 8 of us and the online reservations only go up to 6. Is there a way to make advanced reservations for a party of 8 for a certain evening at Pinnacle Grill, or do I need to wait until we get on board? Thanks in advance for your wisdom!

¿Hay manteca en esta tortilla? ("Hay" sounds like when you name the letter i in English) ETA: tortillas are not the only place you'll find lard in food in Mexico. It's tasty fat! So maybe it's better to say, "No puedo comer la manteca. ¿Qué puedo comer?" (I can't eat lard. What can I eat?)
