  1. I ordered package on PCC website. Their website mentioned 10% discount by ordering at least 10 days in advance. When I got my order confirmation, it did not reflect the 10% discount. I emailed them at customerservice@polynesia.com. They replied it was the customer’s responsibility to use promo code when ordering to get discount. I didn’t see any promo code. Rather than arguing with somebody in a phone call I cancelled booking and will order again once I see the refund on my credit card. I’ll look very carefully for promo code. Just thought I’d warn people.

  2. We will be sailing on the Pride of America next August. Arriving in Honolulu 2 days prior to cruise. We would like to spend a full day at Polynesian Cultural Center including luau and evening show. We would like package including transportation from Waikiki and all the good stuff. Can anyone with recent experience recommend good source for arranging day?

  3. I called regarding a price drop on my March Caribbean cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale and they refused to give me new price. I’ve done this numerous times in the past with no problem. I don’t want to cancel and re-book as I want to keep current cabin. Co-travelers are booked across the hall and location is the issue. I’m going to try again. Maybe the magic word is re-fare. I’ll try asking for that and see if I can keep my cabin location.

  4. We cruised POA in 2022. It was still recovering from pandemic, sailing at 50% capacity. But we had great cruise. Very port intensive, no at sea days. If you are there to see Hawaii can’t think of a better way. 4 islands and you only unpack once. We are sailing POA again in 2024. Now that we know the ropes we are tuning up our excursions with the benefit of prior cruise. Looking forward to great experience!

  5. We did NCL air in 2022 Denver to Hawaii with 2 day deviation (went to Honolulu 2 days in advance of cruise) and had no problems. Direct flight, good arrival and departure times. Good luck!

  6. We screwed up last year on NCL Pride of America stop at Kona. We thought we could just walk about and enjoy but not so. Spent a lot of time walking and not seeing anything interesting. Next time in 2024 we intend to structure something more definite to enjoy the day. We like beach days and want to hang on a beautiful beach. Loved Kona but didn’t organize properly.

  7. We did the NCL Pride of America last year. Terrific cruise. I recommend it if you want to maximize time in the islands versus sea days. We did two days prior in Honolulu and will do same in 2024 for our 40th wedding anniversary. Wonderful experience!

  8. I’ve been on the Caribbean Princess several times. The most unique thing is Skywalker’s lounge, the fish tail on rear of ship. No other Princess ship has it and it’s truly unique. Wonderful quite place during day to hang out and watch the wake stream away, especially if weather is bad. Love the platinum/elite happy hour there before dinner. That alone makes it my favorite Princess ship.

  9. Hi folks, Cruising on Caribbean Princess in March. Booked a Carib deck balcony. Companion traveler booked inside directly across hall. We plan on spending lots of time on balcony. Can companion’s medallion be programmed (or whatever) to allow entry to our cabin? This would make it easier for them to utilize our balcony. If we are sitting on our balcony chillin’ it’s hard to hear if someone is knocking at your door, or phone for that matter.

  10. We went to Maho Bay in February and had a great time. Some of my traveling companions did not like all the transit, taxi to Red Hook, ferry, taxi to Maho Bay, and back, but I thought it was fun with new to us places to see. Beach is one of the most beautiful places I have been . Several booze and food locations. My snorkeling companions saw lots of turtles, all with two fish on their backs. I just lay on beach and soaked up the beautiful scene. Overall I’d say it was one of the best days in my Caribbean experiences.

  11. Sorry I haven’t replied sooner. Taxi to Red Hook for ferry to St. John went fine. Stepped off ship and onto taxi in minutes. We purchased tickets for ferry on line and that was easy. No standing in line at terminal. Took taxi from Cruz Bay to Maho beach. Easy trip, exciting in open air taxi. Maho Bay is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Plenty of food and drink there. Reverse travel was no problem. I highly recommend for those with appropriate itinerary.
