You used to be able to click on the ship link and find all the posts related to that ship and now it just brings up a general search.

I too am baffled by this. Hope, as you say, that they eventually sort it out.

Another thing is, can anyone help as to how you go to the "last unread" on a roll call?  There doesn't seem to be any buttons etc.

Also, how do you preview your posts?

    Thanks

  2. We sail on the Pearl in January and have a couple of queries.

I know that freshly squeezed juices are not included in any package but, can someone give me an idea of, where they are available & when? also, their approximate cost?

Likewise, coffee outside the restaurants, where is it available? and the approximate price for a straight black coffee, no milk, or sugar?

    Many thanks

  3. Just heard directly from Saga that "all Inclusive" means that you can have any of the listed drinks, including wine, any time the bars are open.

Also confirmed that decaffeinated coffee was available at all times.

Hope this helps other people too.

  4. Four of us booked on Norwegian Legends in August 2019. It is our first time with Saga.

We have just been told it will be all inclusive with "selected wines" at lunch & dinner. Does this mean we can only drink wine at meal times or, can you have glass instead of, say, a G & T in an evening?

Does All inclusive mean exactly that or, are there restrictions as to the time of day you can drink alcohol?

Any advice on this or, anything else about this cruise would be very welcome.

    Thanks

  5. We have the Premium All Inclusive package and all our "freebies" are listed on our booking including, water, internet, OBC ,excursions credit and Service charges.

I am confused however about the All inclusive Beverage package & coffee.

Where can I see a list of all the included drinks, including non-alcoholic ones?

Does this mean coffee with meals only or, does it including coffee at any of the bars at any time of day?

Last time I travelled with NCL I remember some ludicrous rule that I could have a Baileys coffee for free but had to pay for a plain black coffee.

I am also assuming that the drinks etc. in the cabin fridge are not part of the package.

Any clarification on this matter would be very welcome.

  6. Can anyone recommend an Island tour which is suitable for our party which includes someone with limited walking ability?

We would like to see all the sites with possibly lunch & a beach.

    Thanks

  7. Our first time on Solstice soon.

Does anyone know if the steward would bring an iron & ironing board for an hour, or so, to your cabin?

Also, can you request the mini bar in the cabin to be emptied, as on other ships?

    Anything else I should know?

    Thanks

  8. We have some OBC given by our TA.

What happens if we do not use it?

Is it refunded to the TA? our credit card? or, is it just lost?

I am sure we will spend it but, just curious.

    Thank you

  9. Our first time on the Solstice in April and there are just a couple of things we would like to know, if possible.

Is there a clothes line in the bathroom?

    Are there plenty of hangers?

Can you instruct your attendant to empty the fridge of the mini bar on boarding?

Is there a coffee maker in the cabin or, can you order coffee first thing by room service?

In fact, any information/advice would be very welcome.

On this particular cruise, we enter the USA at Hilo. We have a trip booked there, but are worried about the time as, we are from the UK and will have to go through immigration. Has anyone any idea how long this will take or, a contact where we could find out?

I have heard that the tendering on these voyages can be very hit & miss. Any tips?

We have OBC from our travel agent, any advice as to making sure it is on our account as, on the last ship they lost it!!!

    Many thanks in anticipation

  10. Hi Mick and Arlene and thank you for your comments. We had already found the official site recreation, so as we are flying in directly from LA, we will probably book a time and get a taxi to Pearl Harbour on our first full day. Still undecided about Old Lahaina as yet.

You seem to be on a different cruise to us so the roll call link is wrong.

Just assumed you were on the Australia to Hawaii in April, sorry.

  11. Hi,

Maureen and George from North East Scotland would like some help regarding Pearl Harbor on our own also Old Halaina Luau on our own.

    Hi

Mick & Arlene from Leicester England here.

Thought you might like the link to our roll call https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?p=54665068#post54665068

Lots of trips being organised here.

We too plan to do Pearl Harbour on our own by local bus. We are staying at the Outrigger Beach in Hawaii and they will look after our luggage until check in on the day we disembark so, hoping to go then.

Here's a couple of links I found that gave lots of information.

Haven't decided about the Luau yet as we are a little concerned about getting back to the ship in time.

Hope this helps. "See" you on the roll call.

  12. Thank you for taking notice...hope you have some input to provide some variety in the scotch selection....add Dewars to the basic package!!!

    I wouldn't hold your breath.

For ages now, I have been asking for a brandy, (cheap will do), to be added to the list, without any success.

I presume that the people who make these decisions drink one of the sprits that are on the included list after dinner so, the lack of brandy does not bother them.

  13. On the UK site, I logged in and searched for "any" San Juan tours etc. for 17th November and only one activity comes up. Something about cheese making.

I changed the criteria to show "moderate" activity and it says that the tours are all under development.

    What is going on?

P.S. Voyage planner does not seem to work for me either. What am I doing wrong?

Bonnie, Is there any news on some more excursions in San Juan ? as they are still not showing on the cruise planner so, we are unable to book if we want to.

  14. Yes, the shorex for San Juan, Puerto Rico, are being loaded into our system.

The attached list of excursions will be for both the Quest's 2017 (11/17/17) and the Journey's 2018 (11/21/18) port calls.

  15. You know, I really like the Persian Gardens ... those heated tile chairs in Alaska are wonderful. However, we get one free pass for a port day and even though I end up staying onboard quite often, I still just don't use it except on rare occasion.

What exactly do you get if you buy a pass for the Persian Gardens on Solstice?

    Thanks

  16. Perhaps someone at Azamara should look at the complementary drinks on the more mainstream lines like Norwegian and Thomson, and that may perhaps prompt Azamara to up their game. No Brandy, horrible Scotch, only white rum, rubbish beer, sparkling wine instead of even Prosecco, no Baileys etc. etc. Even the suite "freebies" are not as good as previously.

It really isn't good enough for a cruise line that aspires to be deluxe.

If that isn't enough have a good look at Seabourn, because Azamara prices are creeping towards them.

Remember that the customer always always has a choice, and there is lots of competition out there.

The costs would be nothing in the scale of things to keep us all on board!!

I agree with a lot of this.

I have going on for ages about the inequality of after dinner drinks, (I'm sure everyone is totally fed up with me but, if it helps to get things changed - great!).

If you want a scotch or a G & T you are very well catered for, if you want a brandy, you have to pay.

There are many brandies out there that are really acceptable but, do not cost that much to buy, e.g. Spanish & Greek brandy, so why can they not be included?

Perhaps someone will eventually take notice.
