Balcony discounts like Royal has....amounts vary by loyalty level and length of cruise. I am a Diamond Plus and on a 7 night cruise I receive a $250 discount on balcony or above cabin. To me the discount is the best loyalty perk.
-
I wish Royal would have something for the 18-20 year olds....maybe not a club space but several meet and greet areas especially the first night....Carnival is starting a "1820 club" for this age group....interested to see how it works.

So excited I booked the Aqua Suite 2 bedroom on Harmony for my GD's senior year cruise....I got the 2 bedroom so she could invite up to 3 friends (they will need to pay for their portion of the cruise....the 3rd + prices were not bad under the special I booked!)

I was on the Breeze a few weeks ago with my teen gds....loved the app.....If we weren't together they had to text me every 2 hours. I also really liked all of the features of the app....it was great to check daily activities and account balances.

I booked and received my confirmation back in a week. I double checked with the hotel and they have my reservation. A friend booked for the same date....2 weeks later no confirmation. She called the hotel....no reservation :(
She decided to book directly with the hotel.....$50 more....33% more than I paid!

My granddaughter will turn 18 6 weeks prior to our cruise in 2017....yes 2017. She loves to cruise and at 16 has been on 24 cruises with another one coming up at the end of July. She loves the teen club and by the end of the first day she has meet a ton of kids and they hang around together all week.
For our 2017 cruise, I have booked an additional TBD person so she can bring a friend....just in case she doesn't meet anyone hanging around the ship with no specific place to go....
I think it would be great to have a 18-20 Meet and Greet the first night of the cruise and/or give consideration to allowing 18 year old high school students (with high school ID) in the teen club.

32 days...17 hours.....Breeze

I didn't know about C/A charm.....I will be on Liberty in November.....I will see if I can get a couple for the girls!
-
The only cruise line I have been on that had a ship specific charm was Disney...I wish they all would. I gave my granddaughters James Avery charm bracelets for their 6th birthday and we have filled them up with their milestones and their travels. We grab a charm for every place we have traveled.....My 16 year old GD will be going on her 25th cruise next month and with the travel and all her activities she now has to double up the charms on 1 link!
We got the tree frog charm in PR.....so cute!

This is so wrong. Galveston cruises are higher priced than Miami. They have a limited amount of space. If anything the cost of a Galveston cruise is more expensive than a Miami cruise. I can readily find the same length cruises leaving from Miami cheaper.
I agree....there have been times I can book air from Dallas and a cruise from Florida cheaper than Galveston. Hopefully with more/larger ships the cruise rates From Galveston will drop....

I booked SB 6650 and have friends in 6654 & 6658.....hopefully we will be ok!

Thanks....just ordered 3-12 packs!

I booked after final payment so no ES was available....now my cabin for 3 is almost $500 less than I paid....but I can't get anything.....I understand but a taken $50 OBC would be nice :)

Been to Ocho Rios several times never to Falmouth...kinda wanted to just see the port, shop and get back on the ship.
-
My first choice is lido....love the location. If I don't book lido then I book cove...look at location of the cove cabin, I was under the kitchen once and my particular cabin was kind of noisy from all the rolling above!

Great video.....thinking of taking a last minute cruise and can't decide which one from Galveston.....I have been on all the current ships from Galveston except for Freedom although I have sailed The Conquest several times minus the 2.0 upgrades.
I love Magic but I really love Guy's!

oh great...so that means about April 2016 there will be even more threads whining about how far it is from the airport(s) to the island.

Just booked them for March 7th.....

SS Norway.....my first ever cruise out of 48....I was starry eyed...nothing tops the first cruise!
-
Following....taking my 16 and 12 year old granddaughters on March 7th....they both are cruise veterans 25 & 14 cruises each but the Jewel is a new ship for them....can't wait for more!

I had a deck 12 aft balcony on Getaway....we had 2 loungers.....2 chairs and a small table. I didn't notice much vibration from ship motion but at night there was vibration from the music at the outdoor club on deck 15.
I saw a regular balcony and it was small....2 chairs and it looked like your knees would hit the balcony glass wall when sitting.
I was told that deck 9 and 12 have the largest balconies.
Even with the vibration from the club I would still book the cabin again...in fact I booked the same cabin on Escape!

Booked March 5, 2017....only a 6 night cruise but a great price....Balconies start at $699....I booked a lido balcony for a few dollars more.
In the Dallas area that week has always been Spring Break....hope it stays that way!

Thank you so much for a fantastic review...25 days until I will be boarding the Jewel in the PH Suite right next to yours....so excited!

If you are in a suite and have UDP, can dinner from a specialty restaurant be delivered? I want to have 1 or 2 dinners on my aft balcony!
