Are you stuck on the gangway getting off the ship? This happened to me once.....not enough custom officials.....don't know why they cannot get that right......Lordy here come the Galveston haters
-
I have done this before.....easier to remove someone than add a person....only so many triple occupancy cabins.
You will need to book an adult in each cabin only because the non-related minor cannot be in a cabin with only your children....has to be in a cabin with an adult.....makes no sense but that is what happened to us. Once on board you can get extra cabin keys and make the switch yourselves.
Be sure to get a notarized consent to travel for the friend!

Thanks so much for the heads up....I was able to book a balcony with my senior rate and D+ discount=$766....I am taking my granddaughters on Navigator on March 9th but the deal is too good to pass up....costs more to stay home!

I take a picture with my phone of the original pill bottle then carry the pills in a small pill case....I have never been asked for the information, but at least I have a picture....

You should see what our property taxes are as well.. What I do not understand about this forum is why someone wants to bad mouth our state when they have a choice whether to come here or not ?? Most Texas people are friendly, and do not state they dislike some other state for "various" reasons as someone above said. Hey, if you don't like us, don't come here..I am not really trying to start anything, and I am totally against the new tax deal as well, I just wish we could keep it friendly..:)

I am a D+ and so is my 14 yr old gd (on her own, she has been cruising since she was 2). I would actually prefer the coupons because I cannot take her into the lounges at night and she always goes with me before dinner while I have a glass of wine etc. I am not a big drinker but I do like a glass of wine before or during dinner so this would work better for me.
It is a catch 22....everyone has a different preference for their own reasons, what I really like about being a D+ is the balcony discount!

I cannot imagine they would get rid of the children/teen areas...and I am not sure where the pizza dining is on deck 3....do you really think they will get rid of the photo and nightclub area are just move them to a different location?

I am the OP and have been in meetings all day ....I will call C/A tomorrow.
My gd does not live with her father...he is Chicago and we are in Dallas. I am mainly interested in the priority boarding with me and the balcony discount.
I am also on the cruise and thought about booking his wife with me and his daughter with him then getting extra keys when we board to "switch back"
I know it is sneaky but we earned our D+ status the hard way....I have 42 cruises and at 14 she has 23.....so I don't feel too bad!

My gd is 14 and D+ on her own. If she is cruising with her newbie dad will their cabin get priority boarding, D+ balcony discount and access to DL or CL lounge?

I currently have 1564 booked for 3-9-14....until a few days ago there were no GS available, then 1548 popped up....I think 1564 may be under the hot tub but 1548 is more forward.....not sure I should change. Does anyone have thoughts on either cabin?

Just off Breeze last week...cabin 8439....sewage smell so bad I had to hold air freshner up to my nose to fall asleep....just seemed to happen at night....I did let the cabin attendant know.....also smelled sewage in various places thru out the ship

Love this review....taking my 14 year old gd on Breeze in June for her "graduation" from middle school to high school!

Does anyone have the Circle C for the 8 day....or know what teen excursion was offered?
Thanks
-
I put them "on layaway".....I book when the dates first come open and pay some each week or so....I usually have 2 cruises I am paying on at a time. I currently have a March 2013 (almost paid off) and a March 2014 that I pay on a little bit at a time.
After I pay off the cruise I then start prepaying tips, shore excursions etc....when I get on the ship I usually have a very small tab.
I like to cruise a couple of times a year and for me this is the least painful!

We stayed in 12598. We loved it! I requested a chaise lounge to add to our table and two chairs. I lived on my balcony with my music, a bucket of beers and my books. So relaxing! I avoided deck 14 because I was afraid of noise from above. My cousin stayed in 14594 and they loved it and had NO issue with noise. You will LOVE it!!! Enjoy your cruise! I'm jealous :p
I have 12598 booked for June 4th. I know all of the D cabins are the same size with only the balcony being larger on 12598 (D-1). On some of the ships the hump cabins have a little extra room (kind of like a a boxed area at the balcony doors. Does Oasis have this? It makes a great storage area. Any pictures of the balcony or cabin?

I got a good senior single rate for an aft balcony of $977...with my $200 loyalty discount my total for 7 days is $777 (with those numbers maybe I should spend more time in the casino)!
This is my first time going solo but I have always wanted to give it a try. I live in the Dallas area so going out of Galveston also saves me air fare.
I am nervous....but I will never know unless I go solo at least once.
Wish me luck.
