So excited to hear you are in Milan.  Anxious to hear about your cruise.  Planning on

seeing Lake Como after the same cruise in October.  Thinking of staying a few nights

and would appreciate hearing what you did/thoughts.  Ciao! 

Bookish, Any word yet on your Venice cruise on Uniworld?

Can you just cancel on American and rebook on another airline?  I'm using Delta

both ways (through JFK) from Chicago in October.

Did you ever get the cruise documents for your cruise from Uniworld?  

 I go to the library a lot and am an avid reader.  It's

our son who is the librarian.   A young patron called 

him this many years ago.  Always visit and snap pics

of libraries when traveling.

Yes you go to the concierge and just ask for it.  Just booked our 3rd Uniworld cruise for late 

October.  We have never used another river cruise company because of our experiences with

Uniworld.   On last cruise I overheard a passenger and maitre de going around the buffer talking

about her particular allergy.  They are there to please. 

My vote is for the vinegar estate.  Very interesting and different excursion.  Most likely a 

one of a kind experience.  You won't be sorry.

Just booked this cruise for October 22.  Have been on Uniworld twice before

so no concerns about the company.  Would love to hear thoughts/comments

if you've been on this cruise.  Fingers crossed they may decide to change

policy for vaccine.  If not vaccinated, will they require proof of test before

boarding.

Next to seeing my son again (have to fly to the west coast for that to happen) walking up the gangway is what I am looking forward to the most when life returns to normal.  

It snowed a little here in Chicago yesterday.  My DH and I were out on a few errands and I had my

seat warmer on high.  He was playing some spa type music and said I should close my

eyes and pretend I was on one of the heated ceramic beds in the thermal suite on the

Westerdam.  Not even close.   Still can't wait to get back on one of those DAM ships.

Any one else have a "pseudo" cruising experience to share?

Thanks rkacruiser.   Don't know if you watch Mystery on public television but he reminds me of Hercule Poirot played by David Suchet.   

We were on the Eurodam in January to the Panama Canal.  The photo of the officer "Messiah" looks identical to an officer I saw numerous times on the Eurodam.  Could it be the same guy?  Love this video!

So looking forward to being on HAL again.  

DH and I are getting on Uniworld River Empress on October 26 in Amsterdam headed to Basel.  

Second river cruise, first was last fall on River Beatrice Prague to Budapest.  Had to bus it a lot last year 

due to low river levels on the Danube.  Looking good for none of that this year.  Yipee!!!

Will be in cabin 102 on the same cruise in October.  Would love to read a trip report.

BTW this is our second Uniworld cruise and enjoyed our cabin in the "aquarium" class

on our first cruise.  Uniworld is terrific.

This is our first ever river cruise going on Uniworld SS Beatrice starting in Prague and then getting on boat in Nuremberg on Nov. 7th ending in Budapest on Nov. 14.  Sure hope all goes well.  Anyone out there think the cruise would be cancelled?

We are cruising with Uniworld in 3 weeks.  Wondering when we should expect the leatherette luggage tags etc.  Thank you.
