  1. My husband gets up before me so he just takes my towel with him and puts it on a chair with chair clips (super cheap on Amazon). He runs to get coffee and when I get out there we take turns getting breakfast and bringing it back to the chair to eat it. Sometimes he will go ahead and grab something to eat while waiting and has never had his chair taken. We quit saving chairs for the kids when they were smaller because they don't sit in them and it's a waste. They would sit on the edge of our chair if they wanted to rest for a minute.

  2. I purchased 3 of these as well for my cruise in October 2018 (I don't know if I can wait that long!) and on the page it said expires in November 2018, but on the actual gift cards i received it said expires 4/27/18 so be careful if you bought them for a cruise that's more than a year out, just be sure to use before then. Guess I will apply them to my cruise now instead of waiting.

Wow, mine says it expires on November 30, 2018 on all three of mine :o. You could always call them. That's weird.

  3. I hate to the person who asks again or even brings up Cheers because just from my search results I know it comes up alllllllll the time but it also comes up with 325807520 results and it's hard to find the right answer.

Hubby and I are going on a 5 day cruise in July. I'm trying to decide to if Cheers is worth it or not for us. My husband is mostly a beer drinker and on an average afternoon can drink 3-4 beers while doing yard work.. I tend to drink beers also but if I'm in a drinking mood I average 4-5 beers and a few mixed drinks (and shots if I'm making a night of it). Someone told me that unless you each exceed 12 beers in a day it's not worth it and unless you exceed 9 mixed drinks (not top shelf) it's not worth it. The great to get or not get Cheers debate is going on. Any opinions on this matter? I just don't see how we'll spend $575 on drinks!?

Don't forget to count out the time you are spending in port. Beer is usually a lot cheaper in port. We are beer and wine drinkers and it is not worth it to us.

  4. I am looking for any tips people may have to cut down on wrinkles in clothes. I know a lot of people never iron so don't hate on me, but I hate wrinkled clothes. I typically visit the laundry room at least 2 or 3 times to iron while on the ship and send my dresses out to be pressed. I roll my clothes to make more room and that does not help. Help me save some time and possibly money!!!

    Please and thank you :).

  5. I purchased without reading the fine print (my bad) and noticed that it takes 10-14 business days. I leave on the Vista on Sunday. Fingers crossed that somehow they arrive earlier. I can't find any numbers to contact them with to see if expediting it is possible. Called Carnival with no luck. Send an email to the daily deals email but got an auto response from someone that will be out of office in "2012." So we will see what happens, if not I might try and sell them. I do not know when my next Carnival cruise will be after this.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Make sure you get the package to check your email on the ship. That's the good thing about them being sent by email! I bet you get it in time. Good luck!

  6. I'd say it's a matter of personal preference as far as how much you'd like to spend on board. I don't know what the denominations are of the seven you already have, but if you think those will be enough, then maybe only get one or two from today's deal for good measure. On the other hand, if you buy three today, you'd have ten total, or two for each of you. A nice even number. :D

I look at today's deal and see a savings of $30 if I buy two or $45 if I buy three. That's $30/$45 of free money we get to spend on board. A few free drinks, for example. We already have two cards on the way from the AARP rewards, but I can't pass today's deal up. Our cruise is still a year away, so we have plenty of time to get more from AARP if we want, but getting 15% off today is probably the best deal we'll see on these cards. All of the other promotions I've seen are 10% off. When it's all said and done, we'll use some of them to pay down on the balance and some for OBC. I don't want to end up with extra cards when the cruise is over because we don't know when the next one will be and, knowing my luck, we'd end up losing them.

I read all of the fine print and I think we'll do it. I can't pass up such a great deal! Since it's posted on here, it'll probably be even harder to get though :(. Oh well, I'm happy to at least have the ones we already have. It would sure be a nice cushion to have some extra!

  7. Interesting story. Makes you realize why you MUST be on time. My stepmother missed a very expensive cruise to the Easter Islands, but she didn't miss the boat by staying over. She sadly booked a flight the same day as her cruise was leaving. She luckily bought insurance but totally missed the boat. We ALWAYS fly in the day before to be sure we make it (even when we have insurance).

So do we!! Always. Same thing happened to my son.

  8. What size envelopes do the $100 cards come in if you buy three or four cards in one order? Do they all come in one envelope or individual envelopes?

I live in an apartment so I have a small locked mailbox. It is vertical and about the size of a small PO box, but it doesn't have an always open end like a PO box. I am wondering if the envelope will fit.

Just a regular #10 envelope. They should all be together so it should fit just fine.

  9. Sailed all 3 of the Dream class ships and have noted the side to side rocking on all 3. Be that as it may it is still my favorite of the carnival class ships, love the ocean plaza area and the extra deck around the Lido pool area.

We were on the Breeze and didn't have a rocking issue. We were on an eastern if that makes any difference. We are doing that same itinerary on the Magic (Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts and St. Maarten). Don't know if that matters or not. I always thought it was the time of the year that mattered.

  10. If you are taking a taxi to Maho, you could also take a return taxi back to the port.

We went back to town and then walked along the water from Phillipsburg all the way back to our ship. It was a nice walk. Some people did take a water taxi back from Phillips-burg to the ship.

Thank you. My sons girlfriend has problems with her feet so she can't walk long distances. My husband and I love to walk so maybe they can take the water taxi and we can walk back to the ship.
