  1. If you are a Suites Passenger it is really easy. We were staying at the Seattle Marriott and the Bell boy took us across the Street with our Luggage and he dropped off our Luggage with the Porters. There is a Person sitting at a Table to the right and you tell her your Cabin number and when a few of you are there she will take you ahead of everyone in the Security line and then up stairs to a special room where you will wait with the other Suites Passengers. The Concierge will be there to greet you. Then a Butler took a group of us to Cagney's.

The previous Poster is very right and the Pearl is the Ship I was one last Sept to Alaska. She is a favorite of mine. Have a good Cruise.

  2. Didn't your Butler bring you "Canapes" each day. On the Star we heard the Butler next door and he never did come to our Cabin so I told Belkey and she asked if I had my do not Disturb sign on because even she would never come in or knock on the Door. Believe me we were very careful after that!...And yes some Butlers are better than others.

  3. On my first cruise on the Pearl I was up-selled from a Mini Suite to a Family Suite and then a few days before the Cruise NCL "Up-Sell Fairy called my TA at 4:30 and offered me the "Owners" Suite. To die for. Two Balcony's and over 800 Sqare feet. Plus three Bottles of Liquor. But the Biggest Balcony is the very Forward "Penthouse" Suite in the middle on Star Deck 9. It was 270 Feet with a over hang. Perhaps you will get lucky when they start Up-sell about two weeks before your Cruise.

  4. What a wonderful upgrade. One Cruise NCL called my TA and up-selled me from a Mini Suite to a two Bedroom Suite and a few days before I was to leave thirty minutes on my last day at work and NCL called my TA and up-Selled me to the Owners Suite. What a Cabin! And I know how high you are flying. Have a great Cruise!

  5. Just being in a Owners Suite is Heaven! Trouble is you will never want to leave. I had it two Cruises ago and loved it. You will be so happy with all of the room you will have. When you first walk in you will see the Living Room that has a Balcony at least three Balconies long with two Lounge Chairs and a table and two smaller Chairs with a table. This balcony is on the side of the Ship. The Bedroom is very lovely with a flat screen TV and you have your own Laptop to use. The second Balcony is right outside the Bedroom and is great for the Sailaway. The Bath room is to die for with glass toilet inclosure with a Porthole, Large Shower with 8 water jets and my favorite is the flat screen TV over the tub and a window looking out of the Tub to your side Balcony. There are two wash basins..beautifully done and a large dressing room with a dressing table and a very many drawers and two safes. Forgot to tell you there is a small Restroom in the entryway...Tell you Daughter that Red is the basic color and the small dinning alcove has a beautiful Murial on the wall....My favorite is three bottles of liquor.

  6. Your experience would be disappointing. I have seen a bit of a change in the way they have the Suites taken to Cagneys. It use to be your Butler (Aft Penthouse) would take you aboard and show you around your Cabin. Then it got to be a Junior Butler would take a few Suites Passengers to Cagney's. Out of Ballentyne they took all of the Haven and Owners Suites together to the Haven and showed them around. A lot has to do with the Concierge and how good they are. I do think there is a pecking order. Your Butler should bring Canapes each afternoon. But if you have your do not disturb sigh on they will never come to your Cabin. I found that out the hard way. You do need to ask for what you want and need and don't wait hoping they will read your mind. Have meals brought to your Cabin but just let them know what your needs are. Tell the Butler what you want in the room and they will be happy to get it...I will admit it isn't quite as special when they take a group to Cagneys and not as personal. I book a Suite for the room and Cagney's and Embarkation and Disembarkation. Each Concierge does it differently.

  7. I am on the Jewel Oct 18th out of Bayport. NCL does have a Hotel near Bush and the other Airport and they would be running Buses to Bayport. Bush is about 16 miles from Houston and it is a 45 minute drive from Houston. I decided to stay in the Downtown Hilton and Super Shuttle is picking me up at 9:45 on the 18th to take me to the Jewel. (This will be my second time on her. Great Ship) Super Shuttle only takes multiple Passengers from the Airports. My Shuttle will just be for the two of us. I am taking the Amtrak "Sunset LImited" to Houston. Some of the Cruisers on my Roll Call are staying closer but I don't think anyone found a closer Hotel to take them to the Port. Hope this helps. Also by Lurking on some of the Roll Calls can give you a lot of idea's. Have a great Cruise!
