  1. Interesting… net ship time gain is 1 hour 45 minutes (if my 2:30 AM math is correct). Curious to know how much fuel it saves and if they will leave more pier runners behind for fuel efficiency too.
  2. Just to share our experience about the cabin. If you are in the same cabin, you can return to it anytime. Your room steward will know you by that time anyway. Since turnaround day is always VERY busy for the room stewards, we usually give ours “off” for the day for our room - make our own beds and tell him we don’t need service for that day.
  3. Interestingly, Carnival just recently banned a woman for life from their cruise lines for trying to bring CBD gummies onboard…
  4. LOL! I am not bothered at all about “positive hijackings”. I love all the input and additional info to help future cruisers. 🙂 I enjoyed the tag-team effort.
  5. Will be following along, then joining you on the 16th! We have done B2B’s 4 times in the past and LOVE them. Enjoy, but don’t save too much for the second week. 😁 Work in a few ‘Relax’ days for that second week.
  6. @CAKEisgood Thank you for the live review! 🙂 13 days until we board!
  7. It’s as if we we live in the same house… 🤣 We could be somehow related.
  8. My sentiments too! Nothing like seeing the sunrise with a quiet wake view 😁
  9. Thanks for the pricing comment @BecciBoo... Reminded me that I was going to post our prices of cruises. Prices only include RCL cruises with a balcony - somewhat 'apples to apples' since we usually cruise over holidays/summer due to our work schedules. Prices are cruise fees plus taxes, per person, per day (not counting gratuities or extra onboard spending) in a balcony cabin. We were always 3 people in the balcony:
  10. I am sure they will also have it on the big screens at the Aqua Theater. 🙂
  11. Only the old USB a outlets. We have the adaptors for USB a to USB c, which works well.
  12. We learned that from personal experience on Oasis class ships too… 😁 We would take the stairs on the “wrong side” and end up adding steps to our day 🤣
  13. I think that covers it... Too many ship pictures, and I know there are plenty of excellent YouTube videos that cover it better. Hope to see you on a cruise soon! How about Norwegian Escape in 16 days? 😉 ❤️ A very grateful Family of the Seas ❤️ We love the One who hung the moon...
  14. The fridge/wine cooler was empty, which we appreciate since we never use the drinks in the minibar. TIP: If you bring your own wine, keep a wineglass in the minibar. That way your cabin steward will leave it alone and you have a glass to enjoy your wine on the balcony.
  15. TIP: There were 16 hangers provided. Since we don't fly, we bring our clothes, packed on the hanger. That way I just pull the hanger with the shirt/dress out of the suitcase, and put it straight in the closet - fastest unpacking! Other cabin hacks that always help us stay clutter free and save space... Over the door shoe hanger to organize cosmetics, lotion, hair stuff: Magnetic Hooks to hang hats and jackets:
  16. Our Balcony Cabin: 11704 We had a "Guarantee" ocean balcony booked and were VERY happy with the assigned location:
  17. TIP: Playmakers had a game schedule, if you are interested in that kind of thing on a cruise. One night, it was packed!!
  18. Oh! I forgot another thing that we are very thankful for! We had to cancel our cruise in January on Odyssey, which would have earned us our first crystal block. We thought we would lose that opportunity, because we did not think Royal would keep up with the change... but look:
  19. TIP: You cant cross over to the other side of the ship on deck 7 aft... in case that matters to you.
  20. As promised, a few random ship pictures: Ship model one deck below Windjammer: The Card Room (Seemed to be popular for family gatherings to play games):
  21. I believe the word is out on the Solarium Bistro for dinner, which is why I highly recommend making reservations. It was quite booked each night. It was fairly empty at 6 PM, but started filling up at 6:30. Since they recommend 2 hours for dinner, I think it looks more empty because some people eat quickly (like us - 45 minutes and we are done). We saw people turned away at 6PM at least 3 nights of the week due to not having reservations. I saw the computer screen too, with all red lines (booked) and just small slots of green (openings for about 15-30 minutes), which the could not book due to the short period of time a table was available.
