Pretty simple question, really….is there any need to get Kroner from an ATM for a Norwegian Fjords cruise? We have excursions pre-booked in all ports, so all we’d probably need any money for is souvenir shopping and some lunches. Can we get away with just using credit/debit cards?

Booked a verandah guarantee on Silhouette in October for a Norwegian fjord cruise this June. Just got assigned last week…to a sunset (aft) verandah on deck 7.
Works for me!!! 🤣

Just an add on to what I said before... you can also specify what size glass you want lol. They are generous with their shots, so if you like it strong the standard glass they use may suffice. But you can also ask for a larger glass, and ask for the full cold can of soda on the side.
As I said before, the bartenders are very friendly & accommodating. Just be polite & respectful as we all should be and you will be fine with getting what you like to drink.
Perfect…thanks so much for the info!!!

Hi all,
I may be overthinking this, but can someone explain how Celebrity handles mixed drinks and cocktails within the drink packages? Like…I’ve seen the lists of brands that are included with each package, but I’m still a bit confused…
For example, with the classic package, if I order a Captain Morgan and Coke, would that be included with no extra charge since both Captain and Coke are included in the drink package? For a Bloody Mary, would it be just include a vodka from the classic package?
It’s just a bit confusing (at least to me) how it’s laid out by Celebrity…
Thanks,
Steve

Hi guys,
New to this thread, but we just booked a RCCL trip for next summer with an overnight in Alexandria. We were originally going to stick to a cruise line excursion, but perusing this thread has made me consider a tour with Ramses.
Just a couple question for those who have used them. I see they have a few “pre-packaged” tours that all do Giza and the Sphinx, coupled with one more activity. (Grand Egyptian Museum, a boat ride on the Nile, etc…)
I guess my question is are these tours “customizable”? Could we reach out to them and request a tour that does Giza, the GEM, AND a Nile boat ride? Also, I’m a bit confused about the tour sizes…obviously they get cheaper the more people you have, but there’s also a mention of joining a group tour of 2-35 people. How does that all work?
Looking forward to some feedback. Based on this thread and other reviews I’ve seen online, they appear to be a very reputable tour company.

I’m feeling better about the 4/6 sailing now. Barring something completely unexpected, it should be back in PC by then.

We're on 4/6 sailing .. getting nervous now. 😞
Us too…I would imagine they would have to make a decision on it pretty quickly. Hopefully they can do all required work in 5 days.

Your loyalty status will be matched to your wife's. Although I'm not sure there are many perks for Emerald compared to Platinum.
Ok, thanks for the info. And yeah…I think there’s water/snacks in the room on embarkation…that’s about it.
Thanks for your help!

So, my wife is cruising on Enchantment with her mother this June. That cruise will put her at 55 nights, so she will be Emerald on our Allure cruise in July. I will still only have 49 points, so obviously I’d still just be Platinum.
How exactly does Royal handle this situation? Will we both get Emerald perks in July, or just her?
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can get back the cash from the first FCC. Only the 100% part though not the bonus 25%
basically you end up with what you paid, you cannot gain.
Ok, thanks for the info. I wasn’t trying to gain the bonus 25%, I just wasn’t clear if
we actually got money back from the FCC’s or just the cash we paid. Although, I guess technically, the FCC’s were cash at one point!
Thanks so much for the clarification!

Ok, quick question about how this works, since I’m thoroughly confused...
We had a cruise cancelled last year and opted for the 125% FCC. We booked another cruise for June of this year, using the FCC’s we got last year. We did end up having to pay some out of pocket (about $800) to make final payment last month.
Now, when our June cruise officially cancels, (It hasn’t yet, but it 100% will...) and I choose to take the refund, what exactly will I get back? Would I get refunded the cash I paid plus the value of the FCC’s we used to book the cruise, or just the cash?
I understand the policy as it reads, but I just wasn’t sure how it changes when there are FCC’s applied to the balance.
Sorry for the extremely long question...🤣

Hi, guys...
My wife and I are traveling on the Grandeur next month on a 9 day trip to the NE/Canada. We are on one reservation, and my Mother in Law (traveling alone) is on another reservation. The two of us have a 5:30 MTD reservation every night. When I try to make a reservation for the same time for my MIL, I get the message: "Guest not configured for My Time Dining". It will not let me add the MTD for her.
Here's my question...rather than go through the trouble of sorting it all out ahead of time, would it be easier for the 3 of us to just show up to our standing MTD reservation and just hope they can accommodate all 3 of us?
Anyone out there have experience with this issue? Thanks in advance!

Here’s the response I received from the Brooklyn cruise terminal. I guess we’ll be parking at the airport...

Good morning - sorry we do not accept vehicles on non-cruise days.

Thanks for the info. I’ll give them a call, since that is a bit unclear if it’s possible to park when it isn’t an arrival/departure day. I’d be trying to park there about 10 days before my westbound transatlantic so the car is there when I return.

Good morning,
Does anyone out there have any experience with parking their vehicle at the Brooklyn Cruise terminal before a westbound crossing so that the car is conveniently waiting nearby when the crossing is over?
I just wasn’t sure if they allow you to park on days where there isn’t a cruise departure. I was planning on parking the car, then getting a ride to JFK for the flight to Europe.
Anyone out there ever done this for a westbound QM2 crossing? Any feedback would be appreciated!

Hi guys,
We’re cruising the Baltics on RCCL out of Southampton in June. (Navigator) When we cruise out of US ports, we have gotten in the habit of putting cash towards our onboard account rather than a credit card. (We have credit cards...we just feel we have a better handle on our onboard spending this way.)
Anyhow, is it possible to do this on a European cruise? If so, what currency do they prefer at check in? I would assume GBP, since we leave out of the UK?
If anyone has any experience with this, any feedback would be appreciated!

I would be asking this on the RCI board, as it is a matter of their policy.
The on board currency for RCI is dollars.
Gotcha. Will do.

Hello, everyone.
We will be docking on a Sunday in June at Oceankaj (berth 333, I believe) The wife and I are planning on just strolling around central Copenhagen for the day, and possibly taking a canal cruise from Nyhavn.
A couple questions...do the cruise lines have a shuttle to take guests into central Copenhagen, or would the public bus/taxi be a better option? I think I read somewhere that the 26 bus doesn’t operate on Sundays.
We’re not really operating on any specific schedule, we’d just like a simple way to get to the central part of town for a few hours.
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Steve

So nice to be in touch with my next door neighbor for these twelve days, I am staying at the Holiday Inn that is across the road from the Cruise Terminal for two days before.:cool::cool:
Haha...what are the odds of that?!? See you on board! [emoji568][emoji568]

My wife and I have, I think that very room. We absolutely loved it. Steps from being outside on the pool/upper deck. Quiet, very little traffic. Loved the views. Great room overall.

Very nice pictures! Did you notice more motion than normal way up there? (I actually hope the answer is “yes”!)

Hello, all
Does anyone have any feedback on the Panoramic Oceanview cabins on deck 12 of Navigator? We snagged 1802...the one looking directly out over the bow for our Baltic cruise in June.
Seems like a very quiet area, being behind the spa and all. Anyone stayed in them? Love to hear your experiences.
