  1. We are booked on Serenade which overnights in Reykjavik later this month. We’ve been before, so thought this tour offered something different, combining the South Coast, a ATV ride and a visit to the site of a famous plane crash. The ship doesn’t offer this tour, just concerned about the possibility of prepaying and not arriving on time or docking at all in Reykjavik. We are due in at 0700 and the tour leaves at 0800 from the port area. The return is no issue as we overnight. Appreciate any advice if anyone has experience in Reykjavik with an independent tour. (The operator says just be cancelled 24 hours prior for refund)
  2. CEO Michael Bayley has stated there will another Royal World Cruise per the Royal Blog. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/07/12/royal-caribbean-will-do-another-world-cruise?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0aHid0t7GM97f6Rbgj8FKQHBj3ytnJJCdnbZ_2X1EqGKENDxdsvvTAuPk_aem_IrYsG_Vic8wsMO6QnYynTg
  3. We are taking Adventure of the Seas in October for the Transatlantic Crossing, then returning four days later on Voyager. Wondering if any other family are onboard for either leg. We are Matt and Juan from Australia.
  4. We are boarding in Vancouver for the Pacific Coastal, then staying on for the Panama Canal leg straight after. We are Matt and Juan, hoping to find other guys on board.
  5. I don’t think we should be penalised and miss out for being on a Celebrity Cruise -(often with poor wifi to complete a webinar). Surely a visit to the Captains Club on board should be able to get you the points or at least an extension to complete each webinar if on board.
  6. Looking forward to being on the final leg of the Serenade of the Seas World Cruise ! Great to do a Transatlantic in August, and really excited about the stops in Greenland. Any other family on board?
  7. I know taxis can enter the port area in Klong Toey, Bangkok, where Azamara dock. But are Grab vehicles allowed into the same area or are they restricted ?
  8. And as it stands Royal Caribbean still have Serenade doing their World Cruise thru the Suez in May.
  9. Onward overnights in Sydney as part of the World Cruise. I know Azamara dock west of the City. (Circular Quay). Will Azamara provide a shuttle by bus/boat into the Sydney City Centre ?
  10. Our Azamara Cruise stops in Koror in March, and the tours are all focussed on snorkelling or diving, We would like to do a circle island tour and would appreciate any suggestions (the other option being to hire a car, which I’m a bit nervous about). Really appreciate any advice
  11. But our ship doesn’t stop in Hilo sadly (Transpacific Vancouver to Australia)
  12. We have a day in Kona on our Transpacific next month, and I was hoping to visit the Volcanoes National Park hiring a car. Given the tendering and travel time I have been advised not to do this. Has anyone managed this with a car rental ? (we have a total of 13 hours in port, but wanted to allow two hours either side to get to the car rental and tender )
  13. I met a family on Celebrity relocating back from Australia to Canada on the 28 day crossing. They mentioned that the cruise was cheaper than flying with all their baggage !
  14. Thanks to those that provided the link as I never got the email offering Power Up Points. (Previously I’ve got most of them I think). I did get a invite to a Edge Seminar last Monday - no mention of points and no option to enter my Captains Club number. I am an Australian member, wonder if it’s the same Seminar and wonder if Aussies are being targeting differently.
  15. Looking forward to my cruise B2B Australia to Hawaii, and then onto Canada this month. My understanding is we can bring on a second bottle of wine each on embarking, which may well be held by the Ship til the end result of the second cruise. My query is does this also apply to sodas, can we bring in on our allowance for both cruises -? (total twelve bottles per person) I don’t really want to waste precious time in Hawaii grocery shopping
  16. Hi Mark - yea we have added the back to back will have the ship ready for you 😊
  17. What a crock ! I’m Australian and have earnt 94 points participating in Power Up activities.
  18. Except website currently unavailable for the revamp this week. I assume they are finally migrating away from the Royal/Celebrity programme.
  19. Previously did this crossing and I recall lots of local tours available in Bora Bora on arrival hence I am asking about the other ports
  20. Numbers limited in Bora Bora only I believe, so we are not stopping there
  21. Will be on Quantum later this year stopping in Papeete, Moorea and Raiatea. Just wondering if it will be possible to buy tours from local operators when we arrive at the pier. I guess currency will be XPF or USD - any idea if they will take credit card ? Thanks for any recent advice
  22. We are Matt and Juan, looking forward to lots of sea days of this Transpacific. Very tempted to stay on board for the next leg to Vancouver 🙂
  23. Need some urgent help choosing my cabin today. Anyone with knowledge of Cabin 6542 - partially obstructed but worried about possible smoke from the deck below. Was also offered a cabin on deck 13 in a connecting room - worried about possible noisy neighbours (as had that experience previously). Really appreciate any kind advice
  24. Thankfully my Antarctica cruise on Azamara finishes 24 January, so I have been keeping a watchful eye on this
