Thanks for all the responses. Here is how it worked out. We originally booked ocean view early saver. When we did the upgrade to cove balcony the price was $102 lower, and still is, than we paid for the ocean view. We are past final payment so we were given the $102 on OBC. Pretty sweet deal! We are still early saver and now future price matches will be to the cove balcony category 7A.

We booked early saver ocean view rate. We are past final payment. Price for 4 people in deluxe ocean view was 3404. The cost for that has gone up, however, cove balcony rate is now 3304. I called to have my cabin changed to the cove balcony. I checked Carnival's site and it now shows our cabin and category has been updated. My question is, are we still considered ES Rate? and can I get the 100 price difference in OBC? Someone told me we had to compare price drops to our original category, which we no longer have. Does that mean, if the original category we booked goes down, we can use that for a price drop? All these rates are really confusing. Thanks! Also, where on the Carnival site does it show what our rate code is?

Our 15 year old sits in the window with a couple of pillows and a blanket. I'm sure someone will post a picture for you.

We booked an ocean view room under early saver rate. The balcony rate dropped lower than what we paid for the ocean view so I changed to the balcony room with no issues. My question is, the price is lower for the room we are booked for than we paid, and we are past final payment, so would I still be considered early saver and would I then get the difference in on board credit? The price was lower when I changed but they just changed my cabin and left the price as what we originally paid for the ocean view room.

We had a cab driver take us to a school close to port. He went in first and talked to the teacher, then we went into the classroom and our 11 year old son handed out the supplies directly to the kids. They absolutely loved it! We brought mostly boxes of crayons, pencils, coloring books, glue sticks and alot of small tubes of hand sanitizer. We packed a good size suitcase full and then used that bag to bring back souvenirs in. Whenever someone asks us about our cruise, this is the story our son tells them about. It was a great time.
