Thanks for the review! We've sailed the Breeze and the Dream.....but not the Magic.....sounds like fun!

I have sailed on the Sunshine and wasn't impressed. I wouldn't sail on her again unless it was a great deal.

Is it based on when you paid you're final payments?

We've had aft balconies for just about every cruise on Carnival that we've been on and have two more already booked.....we go for the ones two floors down from the lido deck so we don't hear them moving chairs around. There is no vibration or noises from the engines either. We love the views out back.

That's more than I can say for some of the competitors. ;p;p

The Oasis came out in late 2009 with the Allure setting sail late 2010. Carnival is and has been competing with Royal's Behemoth of the Seas line for quite some time now - and holding their own.

I think they assign you a check in time based on when you made your final payment.....not 100% sure tho.

My wife has been reading in The Salt Lake Tribune that the murdered woman's husband worked in insurance. It also said that reports of it being their anniversary cruise were false. I guess some news reporter spoke to one of their neighbors and got the erroneous information that it was an anniversary cruise. It was just a family group cruise. Here's the link.

Thank you elliair! Wow, the comments on my post are so rude! SO I guess because I didn't like my carnival cruise I am lying about my experience? How rude of you folks that "Love" carnival to act this way because my experience was terrible! We each have our own opinions about a cruise and your rude comments just shows the type of person(s) you are.

I said our room steward was the nicest but the other crew were not very friendly as I stated. Yes I do believe they had bed bugs in my room because I itched every night and then ended up with a bite that wasn't there before going to bed. In my opinion the food sucked with the exception of those places I did eat that was decent food.

Again, too each there own but I will stick with Royal!

In my opinion....when we cruised the Allure of The Seas, the itinerary sucked, the food sucked (Carnival's regular menu better by a mile), but the Allure had 100 times better shows, the staff was about even with Carnival's, and we'll probably cruise both lines again!

Personally, I think you will regret not going Southern or Eastern itineraries. We've always cruised either and mainly because most of the feedback whenever we ask anyone about Western itineraries is that they preferred the Eastern or Southern itineraries.

We don't like tendering as you would have to do in Grand Cayman. We have cruised most of the ports in Eastern and Southern itineraries, and the only island I didn't care for is Nassau, the Bahamas. Those people are annoying, all over you like gnats trying to get you to buy their junk.

Just give it a little more thought and I think you'll appreciate the Eastern (St. Thomas, St. Martin, etc.), and Southern (Aruba, and Curacao)

I would also chime in and say we have cruised on the Sunshine and Miracle, Dream, and Breeze, and we'd take the new ships as our first choice every time. I mean if you're going to spend a wad of cash on a cruise, go for the newest and largest. You might as well get your money's worth!

We also drive to Florida for our cruises! We live in North Carolina too!

Mine lives near Port Canaveral and works out of her home. Doesn't answer the phone during her 'time off.'
