I am glad we weren't the only ones let down by the noodle bar. If something is going to be that busy then make it require reservations unless they are banking on people standing in line removing them from other parts of the overcrowded boat.
For the entire week I felt we spent more time waiting in lines to either get our 8 and 4 year old into kids club (which they really like to go to and play) or to make sure we can get a seat at Syd Normans or headliners than we did actually having fun. Because of all the waiting we had to choose to just eat the buffet all but 2 nights to make sure the kids didn't miss kids club or we couldn't get into a show.
This was our 3rd time on NCL but the other two were on POA so I guess not much of a comparison. If the waiting in lines to do anything is the norm then I can confidently say we will be sticking with RC in the future.
What do most people do after dinner on ncl in main dining, taste, and savor? They don’t give drink tickets or anything to sign after like royal does. Just curious if I should run to casino and break some 100s from tips.
Following along for the week. Sitting at the kids pool right now the the 4 and 8 year old. Too damn cold for me to get in the water but the drinks are flowing nicely.
Following along. We are on this cruise next week.
if you get a chance can you take a few casino pictures to show table limits? Curious to know those to figure out how much cash to bring.
this is what I was kind of getting at with asking about ncl poker. On royal I usually buy in for 200 and just mess around and sometimes lose it and sometimes win but in the end I always end up feeling no pain from the drink package.
when I play here is St. Louis at the casinos I do not drink while I play and focus on winning money.
if I’m forced to buy in for max well then I won’t drink and focus on just taking money from the baddies but to me this is vacation and if I lose I don’t mind pissing away a few hundred dollars for hours of fun and socialization.
what do the average people buy in for on ncl? I’ve played a lot on royal and it’s the same 1k max but most people buy in between 200-300….never seen anyone buy in for the full 1k.
I’ll be on breakaway in March for kids spring break cruise and want to make sure I bring enough cash so I don’t get charged stupid fees.
I have read online that when onboard you can make reservations for your kids in splash academy. Is that through the app we use now onshore to make dining and shore excursion reservations or is there another app once onboard? I do not see anything on the regular app for splash academy.
Anyone have any experience ordering different food in a specialty restaurant?
example: If you go to Hooked can you get something from say chops or Jamie’s? There are people in our group who do not eat any type of seafood.
I know they would do that for our kids in the past but never tried as an adult ordering something else.
